Wutang's relevance is explosive right now, to everyone but wutang. If wutang reached out to the millions of facebook group, wutang themed businesses, members of the business community that are consistently cited as being wutang fans, etc etc, they would outsell drake. There's literally a "Jew Tang Clan" in hollywood and it includes Seth Rogan and James Franco.

Lets forget that they sold a CD for 2 million dollars. Rza leveraged Tarantino's wutang fanhood and created a movie career. That 1 fan. Just 1. There are people who make more money from the name Wutang than Inspectah Deck.

All they have to do is sound like wutang and reach out.
They don't want to sound like wutang and don't want to reach out. So you can't blame ABT on anyone but them. You release and album and all come to the media to say it's trash. Then you say the record industry isn't 'the same' and people 'aren't selling records'. Not to mention it actually was trash you, Rza, were trying to make music that sucks but you think is good because it's not being made in the hood.

Angela Yee used to manage Genius/Gza and wrote the skits on Beneath The Surface.

^lol I was going to say that. Wutang has so many fans in high places right now. A lot of them think the internet is some sort of 'problem' so they're cut off from information and it's obvious. Rza is doing fine but he's coasting off 90% of hollywood being on his tip on the stenff of the wu. Rza also has a great work ethic.

Yes, Rza set everybody up properly, unlike most label heads who set their artists up for failure and bring in debt for the rest of their lives. The other clan members just seem to have had no future plans and squandered their money. I am certain at some point even lower profile members like Inspectah Deck, Masts Killa and had U god had at least half a million in their bank accounts.

im a member of some of those groups and thousands of people still go crazy if they happen to see a wu-tang logo formed in a cloud, post their new borns in wu tang clothes, and whatever the hell else. there's been breweries that recently made wu-tang beer....the list is literally endless of how popular wu-tang is

but wu tang hasn't made wu-tang music in over a decade

and i hope RZA is really getting paid for the fact there's wu-tang shirts in almost every mall/ hot topic/ spencers gift store in the US. I recently saw a shirt with an upside down W logo that said 'Michigan' in the Wu-Tang font at one of the malls near me
I bet RZA could re-launch the brand and make a killing, all of the shirts are off-brand so idk if he's seeing any income from them

I wanted to make a separate thread about this, but here are some rappers that are influenced by the Wu, and Europeans and Australians here should be free to add on. Never mind the music quality, Wu's influence is epic throughout the world.









Also, given my own experience, You will find Wu-Tang fans in very unexpected places, even amongst intellectuals and politicians.

Not only RZAs music isn't good anymore, Cilvaringz was never good. I don't understand how he got put on. His production is okay at best but his rhymes are awful. That shit always fucked with me.... I respect a niggaz hustle no doubt and I don't really care about the 2 million dollar album. I don't expect much from the clan anymore anyway... They're pushin 50. It's my opinion but Cilvaringz rhymes are trash and his beats are average but it's niggaz like him that get put on.
