I do read the bible. I'm in a class called "The Construction of Evil in Western Theology" where we examine the evolution of the concept of Satan through the orignal "Problem of Evil" in western monotheisms. I don't know how anyone can read through the Old Testament and still think the Bible is the cornerstone of western morality. The Bible justfies bigotry, slavery, misogyny, genocide, murder, rape, and war AS LONG AS GOD SAYS IT'S OK.

Lol, Like Allah praises those who sacrifice themselves to kill the heathen? I think not.

Did God really do these things? or did people get God confused with the devil here?. Jesus may just be a man like me or you..but We Are All The Seed's Of God The Father.
Jesus is how man should be, Fuck all that ''Follow Christianity or perish in hell'' bullshit, because if this was the case i'm sure there'd be more warnings than a book.. You say Fuck Jesus yet you say he didn't exist, You say the accounts of him are incorrect or changed yet you say ''Fuck Jesus''. Jesus was stupid for saying something of the sort had he not considered any supernatural or afterlife existences. He said what he said to ensure that future believers would be correctly upholding the Christian way of life in order to find true salvation. not all Christians are guaranteed heaven "many are called, but few are chosen" and "the road to salvation is narrow". he was not stating this just as a way to live, it was a means to an end. consider his statement idiotic, and within the realm of spiritual thought tell me how it is proper for a Christian to find salvation and blessings before God without adhering to this message.

1.) I didn't make this thread, so I'm not behind the title. Furthermore, even if I did say "fuck Jesus", I would be referring the concept or popular image of him rather than the supposed person.

If you actually read the Old Testament, God LITERALLY tells his followers or gives them permission to do horrible things like kill children, enslave rival tribes, kill pregnant women, claim young virgin women as spoils of war, kill people who deny their god, etc. etc. etc.

And you don't get off the hook by saying "well Jesus changed all that." Jesus makes several explicit claims that the laws of the old books still apply to his teachings, including the law about parents having not just permission, but a DUTY to kill disobedient children.

Furthermore, don't give me that bullshit about "it's Satan, not God". The concept of Satan evolved over several thousand years. It's no until the New Testament that they decided to place all the blame on a separate entity, a concept they borrowed from Persian Zoroastrianism.

You probably don't even know what the term "satan" originally means in Hebrew and the context it was used in the Old Testament. It wasn't a fallen or evil angel, I'll tell you that.
