Yes Nas was better on those tracks. Gun For Gun was one of the worst Priest verses on The Offering. Still a good verse. Priest is more consistent than Nas. While Nas is dropping Life Is Good, KP delivers qualityalbums like PWOWR.
Life is Good, was on point. Near Classic status. Lyrics are impeccable. production on point. IDK what you're talking about. Like i said I win either way as a fan. Anyways kid, I'm not trying to feed the troll just saying the only people you'll catch saying Priest is better than Nas are on Wu corp. and Killahpriest.com lol. Have a nice day. :W
Is this in stores? I have not been able to find it at all.
I agree with some of the things that are being said about the lack of emotion on some tracks....the beats themselves are emotional, but sometimes Priest's tone and flow and cadence do not convey those emotions lyrically....
Emotional tracks like The Park, The Elders Gave Us Aura, Love Is Life, They Say, etc sometimes Priest sounds monotone on them.
IF you really want to FEEL emotion on a track, I always think of Ghost on Impossible....
last year this album never coming out kinda ruined music for me
wasn't able to get excited for anything.. have ordered a bunch of stuff and haven't really gotten around to listening to it for various reasons
it lived up to its potential
If peace god or new reality don't move you you may be numb
^Personally, I like vocally inflected hip hop but only if it's done right. Sometimes, it comes off as cheesy and forced.
this song DESTROYS all of czarface...
decks verse here >>> anything he spit for esoteric
the beat is better than anything gay 7l put together too
any of you geeks still listening to that boring piece of shit album!?!?!?!?!?!
czarface = FAILURE

the PWOWR = a tidal wave of classic material
listening to killah p >>> reading books
priest wrote this album in outerspace and brought it back to earth to share with wu geeks thanks killah
Czarface is still a banger.
"decks verse here >>> anything he spit for esoteric"
Naw he again reused more of his own lines. Deck now uses multi-syllabel rhyme patterns with no substance, rhyme JUST to rhyme & have caught dude reciting/repeating his own material for years now.
I like the Czarface album a lot, to me its easily one of the best Wu releases in a long time. I just got the KP CD yesterday so I am only halfway through Disc 2. I am not blown away by the beats on it so far, but KP is obviously on point. Plus I def need more time, a lot of material here. Peace
Aside from a couple blunders and a small handful of so so songs, this album is fantastic.
New Reality and Lotus Flower are my top two tracks.
This album makes me wish Killah Priest never fell asleep while MK did Mystery of Chessboxin'. Can you imagine if he was the 9th member? No offense to MK but nobody would doubt Wu-Tang was not only the best hip-hop act of all time, but any genre of music. No offense to the Beatles....
I never realised people here regarded KP so highly, i just figured most people thought Heavy Mental was classic and that's about it. I better listen to this album i guess.
Disc 1 is dense.
After letting this soak in for almost two weeks, I have come to four conclusions.
1. Not better than Heavy mental in any way, beats, lyrics, flow
2. I might've put this over the offering if this were one disc. MIGHT'VE .
3. This is neck and neck with black August, I would give this the edge due to the fact that this is a double disc.
4. 1. Heavy Mental 2. The Offering 3. The PWOWR 4. Black August 5. Elizabeth 6. Behind the Stained Glass. 7. Priesthood 8. View From Masada
^ I'm in agreement with that list
though I'd say this is very close to The Offering... for me its Heavy Mental/The Offering/PWOWR at the top and then everything else far down below
mainly because we get everything Priest has to offer on here: gigantic stomping battle tracks, zoned out cosmic trips, his signature accapella poetics, Wu bangers, intricately-crafted storytelling, conspiracy Da Vinci Code shit
all of it in abundance.... there's really nothing lacking here
some of the beats I'm not crazy about but they perfectly fit the theme he's going for right from the beginning, a kind of electro-cosmic mystical trip
I really don't see after multiple listens, how you can put the Offering over this. It's really like a beefed up version of the Offering. I'm actually astonished Hollow, that you immediately wanted to call this a classic, and now you're backing off the gas, whereas I wasn't ready to call it a classic, but after several listens and digesting the lyrics, I'm damn close to calling it one. I even don't think Super God or Nazareth are that bad anymore. It's lines like this that are the reason:
"I told him light travels faster than sound, that's why you appeared brighter before you spoke."
^^^ and traveling a space car going faster than the speed of light.. But :pthen he turns his headlights on.....crazy ..my vote
classic
Wow.
My jaw is dropping listening to "New Reality"
fucking wow.
just...WOW
Okay guys, I just got my copy in the mail, but I already own a digital version of the album. What I'm wondering is, do you guys think I should open this or do you think a sealed copy of this CD will be worth something someday?
There's not anything overly cool in the album is there? (like a poster or something)
Oy vey
Epic album. Masterclass. This album gets better with time. The more I listen the more I appreciate and uncover the hiidden mystery and genius to this album. Now I'm addicted to Tower(The visitors) track. The music of the spheres track is ridiculously sick. The track was meant to be totally offbeat. Dope

I guess you can nod off beat to it to^
^my primary concern would be whether the sound quality is better with the physical cd instead of the format you downloaded

So fucking dope.
yeah, i got my remedy autographed sweatpants.
and i gotta say, they smelled somewhat used & unwashed. but i guess thats what the true fans want.
listened to disc 1. priest is the man.
3 best wu affiliates: priest, rev. burke & killa sin.
they should start a group "the priest, the reverend & the sinner".
would probably be the best wu affiliate album since "silent weapons for quiet wars".
Thats a bad ass concept^
