I would guess Ringz ultimate goal would be to put Wu back on the map? I'm guessing that based on his mention a while back of setting up a central point for wu artists to sell their music.
...either that or Ringz is a massive closet Cher fan and this is all an elaborate plan to put her career back on track, and possibly have her take ODB's vacant spot in the clan...
Interesting critique:

Please don't tell me Cher is on this record.

Did people miss the fact that the route they are taking with this isn't about money. They are just using the standard model used for other works of art like paintings, and applying it to music. If people can pay $50 to go look at some paintings on a wall, why shouldn't they be able to do the same to go listen to some exclusive music. That's the point Rza is trying to make. I don't think he's trying to change the way music is done. They are just trying to make the statement that music should be treasured and valued the same way other forms of art are.
Cilva, can you say if you have had any high-priced offers to buy this album yet?
What is keeping the millionaire buyer from leaking the album, once purchased?
For those interested. The Inside Facebook story is interesting.

That's big time right there. If your next move has the same impact things could get interesting.
Nah, they just merged the two Wu-Tang and Wu-Tang Clan pages. Wu-Tang had 3.8 million likes, Wu-Tang Clan 2.8 million, now they've combined it to just one page, Wu-Tang Clan. The 3.8 million page doesn't exist anymore. Duplicates not counted, so total likes between those two is 4.9 million as it stands atm.
in all seriousness ringz, if you do the typical hip hop shit & wait 6 months - a year to act upon this nobody will give a fuck anymore.
you gotta strike while the iron is HOT. and right now that shit is fucking magma.
in this age of instant gratification & zero attention span, you wait AND THIS WHOLE CONCEPT WILL FALL FLAT ON ITS FACE.
that is not a diss, but it is 100% reality. i think you might be able to make some decent money on this....but only if you act fast.
personally,i will pay $100 for two tickets to listen to this in a museum. but i will wear a depends adult under garment and shit myself before i even sit down.i want that smell to linger the entire listening time.
and my guest will be eli porter. and he will freestyle the entire time over the beats in his headphones. hopefully we can at least record that.
Congratulations. This already makes this project more succesful than almost all Wu projects of the last years. It's all about branding these days. I don't even care about the music, but the concept is brilliant.
Cilvathingz is a smart dude. He knows damn well that nobody would care about this project besides Wutang-corp. Members like U-God sell 2K copies in the first week, and that's a member of the group. If this album would've been released the traditional way, it would've sold a few hundred at most.
Besides that, Cilvathingz worked years on this album probably knowing that it would be impossible to sell tons of copies these days. He put more effort into it than Clan members do lately.
Even if this project fails, he still won't lose anything because the album won't ever sell well in the first place.
After reading all the comments here and everywhere online. I have to admit I was little too hasty with my previous posts (mainly my 1st post on this thread) and judging it to be a dream and calling it shady etc as I don't really like this museum thing! However I have read the Forbes article a few times over lol and I can understand where the RZA / Ringz are coming from in terms of how to release this and keep the W alive.
At the end of the day how many of us go to a record store and buy a CD? Hell last time I bought an album was Cilvaringz "I"and I paid £14.99 for that . However I don't download albums only a few singles as Hip hop hasn't been great over the last 8 years or so imo so for me no need to buy or download.
See thing is we all know if this album is released through the normal route, most of us will download it cos it's free. So Ringz is being smart by doing this as:
a) The Wu name is back in the media after a long time and everyone is talking about this.
b) It's great promotion for the group and by doing this museum / festival tour thing will generate interest and eventually......
c) This will hopefully lead to Wu / Ringz making some money....then hopefully a record label will pay them money (I don't think they'll get $10 million more like something closer to a million $) to buy this project and eventually release it to the masses via the normal commercial route, where we can buy it on CD or iTunes. This will equal to the Wu / Ringz getting paid without the shit leaking and we the fans getting the best Wu release since Wu Tang Forever dropped !
And remember this thing is not just showcasing the original 9 clan members but also the Elite killa Beez - who will then have enough exposure to build on (hopefully).
I live in the UK and the buzz for this is huge, I was watching a program last night on BBC2 called Newsnight and what did I see plastered on the Screen lol!!! A huge yellow Wu logo and they talking about this and the potential of it!!!
Ringz I got this on downloaded if you want this?
Hopefully some rich dude doesn't get hold of this by placing the winning bid and store it in a vault for next 20 years lol. So hopefully some possitve can out of this for us fans. Let's wait and see what happens.
Let the fun begin I say!!!
A Ringz if this comes to Colorado try and get a venue that will let us smoke weed, oh and I must say this concept is quite astounding.
Ringz, I'm just about to drop a $10 million offer for the box, but what do I get this time round if I pay an extra $50?
So with all of this exposure has anybody bought "I" recently ?
Definitely stirred up the bees hive, no pun intended. Even my mother asked me about the album. But whoever said a few posts before that u have to strike while iron is hot is exactly right. Will lose interest longer u wait. Wu is known for being late. Peace
LOL my mom asked me the same thing.
Just... keep watch
Yep ringz u need to act on dis ASAP while the hype is there if you wait a few months it'll b a waste of time.
I agree 100%. News on this needs to keep flowing and progressing, otherwise it will lose it's luster fast.
I'm pretty sure they got it all mapped out so rest your tits noobz
Keep watch, Museum lights out when the beat drops
Cilva's keeping the front doors padlocked
Call G's from each block, from each block
Keep watch, lame niggas pay $50 to hear the beat rock
Cilva run these streets he don't need cops
He calling all G's from each block, from each block
^^hlehle
Maybe some of the inner circle killa beez appearing on this could manage to leak it as revenge for their tracks being leaked as part of the Wuki bootleg (lol assuming Cilvaringz even lets them hear the finished article, expect Masta Killa, U-God, Killah Priest and all will have to pop to their local museum to hear it (They won't look out of place either). That would be the ultimate comedy act of revenge. Fingers Crossed.
Lol to the people who supposed to represent the downtrodden, poorer members of society and be the voice that uplifts them from their situation and give them hope. $50!!!!!
Wu ain't for the babies no more. Wouold love to hear ODB's views on this if the God were still here.
Wu-Tang Forever...............Or until you can't afford it no more.
ill predict something right now..lets say this works and cilva manages to auction this off for a few millions...how many of you are willing to bet some of the artists on there are gonna start complaining about their hands not being dipped in the millions?
be sure to quote me if it does happen.LOL
alot of you so called "fans" are being straight bitches about this..as if the Wu hasnt already given you enough material to listen to over the years..even still..If you take songs released over the last 2 years with at least two clan members on each song..you have another excellent wutang clan album right there. I think this is absolutely brilliant..in the marketing aspect alone..CILVARINGZ..PROPS to you sir. An excellent way to add to the wu legacy. Cant wait to hear the album. It's basically WuTang Forever Part 2.
Waiting for a wu geek to set themself on fire like a tibetan monk, out of protest
dead as fuck
I gotta say that was one of the more funny replies I have ever seen on here lol and the video image just makes it gold.
waiting is hype.............................................. .................................................. ...........
Congrats Cilvaringz, in sparking general interest of the Wu, once again... I overheard some old ladies in my office talking about it LOL
I agree with some of the posters here though, You gotta release the album now, play it at all the venues you're looking to do, and strike while the iron is hot... Don't let that sh*t fizzle into irrelevancy and obscurity.
By the way, did anybody save those snippets that Cilvaringz had on his soundcloud page? LOL
