Cam Newton
Resume (Rank in Quotes)
Air Yards With Drops: 1618 (6th)
Turnover Worthy Plays: 15 (17th)
Accuracy Percentage: 71.3 (21st)
Deep Accuracy Percentage: 45.0 (7th)
PFF Run Grade: +10.1 (1st)
PFF Season Rating: 78.7 (13th)
The Bottom Line
The Cam Newton MVP campaign feels very much like when Troy Smith won the Heisman for Ohio State back in 2006. His team is undefeated and he’s pulled them through a number of close games, but it’s obvious that his stats and performance aren’t close to the MVP level we’ve come to expect. Yet some aspects of Newton’s game can’t be summarized with statistics. He is the definition of a playmaker, creating big plays this year that no one else in the entire league could have pulled off.
However, there are flaws in his game we can quantify with statistics. Newton’s 21st-ranked accuracy percentage is an issue. Going over his games it’s surprising how many easy throws he continues to miss. Besides running the ball, there is nothing that Newton is doing at an elite level and he’s not ready to seriously hang with the big boys this season.

Carson Palmer
The Resume
Air Yards With Drops: 1961 (1st)
Turnover Worthy Plays: 14 (15th)
Accuracy Percentage: 73.7 (19th)
Deep Accuracy Percentage: 46.3 (6th)
Percentage of Yards Before the Catch: 65.1 (3rd)
PFF Season Rating: 97.7 (1st)
The Bottom Line
Easily the most effective downfield passer in the NFL. On targets between the hash marks from 10-20 yards down the field, Palmer is 41-46 for 662 yards with five touchdowns and one interception. Those are video game numbers that no one could foresee after Palmer missed most of 2014 with an ACL injury.
In his supposed “worst” game at Pittsburgh he still threw for 421 yards and had over 300 air yards with drops. Then there was his masterpiece over the weekend in Seattle where he threw for 363 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. A full 82.4 percent of his yards came before the catch and he lost out on 55 yards due to drops. What he’s doing in Arizona’s vertical passing offense is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. It’s just a shame that there’s one guy out there doing even more.

Shades of Barry Sanders....ever since Caldwell took over with a running game emphasis, they've basically turned him into a $25mil/yr run blocker
CJ is an unbelievable player & a class act but that talk of him catching Rice was nonsense....he's nowhere in JRs league let alone excellence & longevity
With one of the least productive seasons of his career this year. While the Lions wide receiver caught 88 passes for more than 1,200 yards and nine touchdowns, he only had two 100-yard games, and Detroit struggled as a team, which meant that Johnson didn't get much national spotlight. He’s still only 30, though, so better luck next season, right?
Hm. It doesn’t sound like it. Inexplicably, Johnson released a statement today that indicated that he might be thinking about retiring this offseason. Well, either that, or he’s trying to let the Lions know that he doesn’t want to play for them anymore. Here is his statement as well as a statement from the Lions:

He was a solid coach for the Bears. The Buccaneers have sucked for a while though.

A high of 1, a low of minus-7. The wind chill is expected to be about 25 below at dawn and still 15-20 below at the noon local kick.

LOL@Check Two and IronSheik hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Browns will always be a joke. Fuck them losers and Johnny Manziel needs to leave. Browns probably will get rid of him soon.
Fuck Tampa Bay for firing Lovie Smith. He was only there for 2 years right?
Stephen Smith talked about there's only 5 black head coaches in the NFL on First Take this week and he said there's 32 teams. That's sad and it's pathetic because it should be more black head coaches than that since the majority of NFL players are black LOL. Willie D made me laugh on If I Was White song when he said one million niggas in the NFL and not one black owner LOL. Stephen Smith said it's even worse in college football because there's less than 5 black head coaches.
The Eagles had scheduled & 2nd interview w/Gase who becomes the youngest HC in the NFL at 37
