It's agonising waiting for new Burial material, but he always delivers.
thom yorkes vocals these days...ehh. he lost what he used to have in it.
burials clearly at his best with sampled vocals.
thats what pissed me off with James Blake album. He glimpses us his vocal sampling genius on CMYK, then he gets hype, and a premature ego, and the album he releases is full of his own singing, like wtf.
no one wants to hear that.
yeah i agree (apart from the stuff about Thom Yorke's vocals, they seem the same as always to me).
The material on CMYK is far more enjoyable and interesting than anything on his LP.
I can appreciate his album because i don't mind that style, but it will never really touch his more dubstep inflected music.
It's a shame we never got to hear a full LP of CMYK style material.
I don't know how you can go from that to an album with almost no bass (The Wilhelm Scream and I Mind are notable exceptions).
seem like Yorks Voice is more falsetto on that stuff than Radiohead or solo york. imo

in terms of electronic music (and pretty much anything else) the emotion in his tracks is unparallelled.

I probably need to listen to it again, i gave it one play and dismissed it.
There's too much music, even a slacker like me doesn't have enough time to take it all in.
