No One Should Trust The Election Process In Detroit

None of this is new for Detroit, which has been plagued by corrupt election officials for years. In 2005, federal officials launched an investigation after the November election and state officials took over the handling of absentee ballots in Detroit after the Detroit News reported that “legally incapacitated nursing home residents were being coaxed to vote and Detroit’s voting rolls were inflated with more than 300,000 names of people who had died or moved out of the city.” A post-election audit found that nearly 30 percent of precincts showed discrepancies in vote totals.

Back in December, a public interest group sued the city in federal court, claiming its voter rolls are “replete with typos, dead people, duplicate registrations and mistakes about gender and birth: One Detroit voter is listed as being born in 1823—14 years before Michigan was annexed into the Union,” according to the Detroit Free Press.

In the 2016 presidential election, voting machines in more than a third of all voting precincts in Detroit registered more votes than the number of voters tallied by poll workers. The irregularities meant that more than half the city would be ineligible for a statewide presidential recount that was eventually called off by the Michigan Supreme Court. Here’s what Detroit News reported at the time:

Overall, state records show 10.6 percent of the precincts in the 22 counties that began the retabulation process couldn’t be recounted because of state law that bars recounts for unbalanced precincts or ones with broken seals.

The problems were the worst in Detroit, where discrepancies meant officials couldn’t recount votes in 392 precincts, or nearly 60 percent. And two-thirds of those precincts had too many votes.

But these problems persisted. In the August primary, ballot counts in 72 percent of Detroit’s absentee voting precincts didn’t match the number of ballots cast, and in 46 percent of the city’s precincts the combined vote counts for Election Day and absentee voting were out of balance. Even Democratic election officials admitted that something had gone wrong in tracking ballots by precinct.

Well Trump should take it to court and expose whatever he can whether it’s enough to win or not.

Going forward this hurts the Dems big picture. Hopefully to the point we get these radicals out of government, then things can “moderate” or at least hover around it.

Dems gotta get back on track, it’s better for the country that way. I personally don’t see it happening this term. But that conference call was a good sign that there are sane Dems who actually see it.

The irony is that the election is actually not in contention or confusion at all. Other than the amount of time it's taking to count mail in ballots manually, there's nothing remotely close to a two sided debate on the legitimacy of the process we're seeing. Trump fought republicans, entire cities, entire states, entire races, made it clear that he was only the president of his constituency, fought government agencies, the entire national news apparatus including Fox on several occasion, the post office, entire industries, the internet, the corona virus, etc. No relationship with trump lasted more than 1 year if you didn't just parrot admiration for him. He had no control or plan

I remember the George Floyd situation. Trump people actually thought THEY were mad that windows were being broken more than black people were mad that they were being regularly shot by the state. I kept hearing (on this forum even) 'oh man, just wait til November'. If you met someone that doesn't know who Alex Jones is (most Americans), there's no debate about this election. It's not controversial at all. Of course he had his support and Biden had his but this little internet conspiracy world that Trump draws support from is it's own isolated thing rather than a shared reality. The Democrats did the actual on ground work and found a way to get support. They adjusted to the virus and found a way to stop traditional voter disenfranchisement of minorities in places like AZ, NV, FL and GA. They talked to people in PA, WI, and MI about the reality they were facing and not an arch-conspiracy to make them wear masks and not say faggot. They found a way for people who can't vote comfortably to vote comfortably.

The entire premise to the Bill of Rights, which was added in compromise to guarantee the signing of the Constitution, was that men had unalienable rights endowed by their CREATOR. It means that you do not get your rights from government. Anything government gives you they can ALIENATE and take away. Do they not teach this in schools anymore?

If you are so certain Joe Biden legitimately won, then prove it. Validate and authenticate every ballot. Provide tracking history for all ballots. Provide the names and addresses to whom they were sent. The times and addresses from which they were picked up. When they were delivered. Guarantee that postmarks aren't back stamped. Allow for auditors. Every company I ever worked for I had to welcome auditors into our finance office and allow them to audit our financial statements. Heck, my company is being audited right now and it has been going on for weeks. This week I had auditors in my office several times asking how we budgeted various revenue accounts, our methodology for projecting various revenues, etc.

There's a mountain of evidence. What I've posted is only about 10% of the evidence I've come across.

We haven't even gotten into the details of WHO owns the ballot software and the cyber security experts who have already verified the software has backdoors and can be hacked and ballot counts modified. We also have no authentic accounting of how many ballots were actually in inventory at the time the polls closed. If you can't report an accurate total number of ballots you have yet to be counted at the exact time the polls closed, and keep adding new ballots, then yes the election process has failed at that point.

The election system is far from secure. All election data gets uploaded to cloud servers in Barcelona, Spain and Frankfurt, Germany, which then have access to change databases at the Voting Central Counting, meaning that tabulations can be modified.

I agree. But I don’t think him losing is bad I fact I think it’s better, if the whole goal is moderating American politics.

Trump did well in 4 years. Better than I ever imagined he would.His biggest supporters should appreciate the fact he left the Republican Party in a much better place moving forward.
