^I don't think they ever showed a camera shot of his face, so it's hard to tell if it was a flash knockout or just a hard shot. His legs buckled.
The fight just before is an example of a ref letting the fighter try to recover. You can see how the fighter is hurting well after the fight probably from the extra shots.
PPl were suspecting Cung Le was on something
Bisping did good but he will always be some sorta gate keeper in that division
against top opponents he seems to choke, hes been in the ufc for awhile now and never got a title shot.
Bendo was kinda robbed in that fight
it was stropped a bit too early.
Either way i didnt see him winning that fight. Perhaps he would've squeaked by him but who knows
its because he got really "jacked" in a short amount of time?
that was the pic that was going around.
not sure if they were tested after the fight

^this, I like Bisping but I cant ever see him being champ, I'd like to see him get a title shot sometime though. Hopefully he can string a few more wins together
Both Bisping and Cung Le had to undergo enhanced testing because of that pic lol

^ Watched the fights yesterday online. Nothing to write home about.
I like how often you can catch fights these days but it feels rather watered down. I only get interested in matches for about ten or so fighters these days.

UFC terminates Thiago Silva's contract (again), suspends Anthony Johnson indefinitely
Quote:
The UFC has again released Thiago Silva, and fellow vet Anthony Johnson has been suspended indefinitely, the promotion today announced.
Both were the result of abuse allegations.
The UFC initially released Silva after an incident in February. Police said the fighter drove to Pablo Popovitch Mixed Martial Arts Academy in Oakland Park, Fla., and threatened his wife and Popovich with a gun before fleeing to his home, which led to a four-hour standoff with a S.W.A.T. team. He eventually came out of his home and was Tasered before being taken into custody.
The charges were eventually dropped when his wife was deemed “uncooperative” after she fled the country. Earlier this month, UFC President Dana White stated Silva “went through the legal process and came out of it untainted” and reasoned, “How do you not let the guy fight again?”
However, with additional information, likely from a recent Globo report, the organization today announced it’s terminated his contract:
Thiago Silva was released from his UFC contract on Feb. 7 due to his arrest by police in South Florida. The charges against Silva were dropped by the Broward County District Attorney’s office and Silva was re-signed to the UFC earlier this month. Based on new information received today in the form of video and audio evidence, Silva has been terminated from his UFC contract.
Johnson, meanwhile, is suspended indefinitely following allegations from the mother of his children that he struck her in 2012 and knocked out two of her teeth. She also alleges he’s been threatening her. BloodyElbow.com‘s Brent Brookhouse first reported the depth of the allegations.
The UFC’s statement read:
We are aware of the situation involving Anthony Johnson. As a result, we are suspending him indefinitely. We are using a third-party law firm to conduct a formal investigation and once we have more information, we’ll determine whether further course of action is necessary.
UFC terminates Thiago Silva's contract (again), suspends Anthony Johnson indefinitely
The Thiago Silva suspension should come as no surprise.
Anthony Johnson appeared lately to have focus and finally respect the game. Too bad his old ways are coming back to haunt him. Doesn't excuse it if the allegations are true.

Jones fined 50k for Cormier Brawl & Lost His Nike Endorsement Deal
UFC 178 media day brawl will cost Jon "Bones" Jones big, he got into a fight with Daniel Cormier which helped them get a ton of publicity for the event—the Nevada Athletic Commission just decided to punish Jones for his role in it. They fined him $50,000 and told him that he will be required to do 40 hours of community service in Las Vegas because of the brawl. And unfortunately for Jones, that's not all. In addition to those punishments, the UFC fighter also just revealed that he lost his Nike sponsorship a short time after the fight with Cormier took place and missed out on the chance to sign a six-figure deal with another potential sponsor. So all in all, his brawl with Cormier hurt him immensely. "I made us all look bad," he said earlier today during a hearing, "and as a champion, it was a terrible thing."
178 tonight, Dustin Poirier vs Connor McGregor should be a good one. Would love to see Poirier win by ko or sub but I just can't see it...

Great PPV last night. Connor McGregor is that dude. He cracks me up when he talks shit, but he backs it up. Nice to see Dominick Cruz come back after all this time out. Sick win.
