nick diaz vs anderson silva coming up
I didn't think it was an early stoppage, Johnson just caught him and finished it. I didn't expect it to end like that, impressive win for him. Will be interesting to see him fight Jones.
Can't wait for Silva vs Diaz!!
Everyone has a chance but I have a hard time seeing Diaz pulling this one off. I have a hard time recalling his fights, it seems like so long ago. All I remember from his fights is his inside dirty boxing which I believe Anderson will counter with Muay Thai knees. Unless Diaz uses his BJJ on the ground, it's going to be a long night if he tries and stays standing the whole time, especially on the outside. I wouldn't be surprised if Diaz attacks the previously injured leg on the ground a lot and then switches to kimura attempts. That's the only way I see Diaz pulling it off since he was so dominated and 1-dimensional against GSP. Neither of these two have wrestling on their side, which should make this fight interesting.
I think we'll see a big size difference. Anderson has fought a number of LHW's and he doesn't look particularly small against them. Lets hope he doesn't try to showboat.
I find it interesting that both Diaz brothers are triathletes. Didn't see it coming from all the weed talk surrounding them.
good points !
my question is
Anderson has a rod in his leg (unless they took it out)
Will it have an affect on Diaz if he tries to go for the leg.
these guys respect eachother. Theres no trash talk or anything.
Diaz has gona MIA for 2 days (unless they found him by now)
Cerrone is willing to step up and take the fight
Lol, Diaz showed up. I think it was just the UFC hyping things up, doubt he would miss a payday like this! I think Anderson has that rod in his leg for life now, won't affect Diaz but I'm wondering if Silva will still be confident enough to throw kicks with it, rooting for Silva all the way but it should be a good stand up fight whoever wins...
That 183 card turned out to be shit fights. Diaz just showed up to collect a 6-figure paycheck. It must of been frustrating fighting someone like Anderson that is a defensive-striker and doesn't want to engage in a slugfest. Disappointed that Diaz didn't try to take him down more.

Yeah the main event turned out to be pretty underwhelming, like you said Diaz was just after that paycheck! Thought it was still a good performance from Silva, he had Diaz outclassed but he played it safe imo, probably could have finished it if he really went for it
Fight was wack, neither fighter should of won. Diaz clearly showed up for the bread.
Tyron Woodley and his fight against Gastelum was even worse. He might of outclassed Gastelum with accuracy but he didn't come to fight at all. He's got the Rashad Evans persona.
So the results that both fighters failed the drug tests took almost a month to come in, and they just happen to not come in until shortly after the fight? Right.. lol
-Commission chairman Francisco Aguilar could not explain why he did not receive the test result sooner. He referred questions to Dr. Daniel Eichner of SMARTL, but Eichner could not be reached.
Aguilar did say that had he gotten the results in a timely manner, he would not have allowed Silva to fight.
"I would have had no problem calling the fight once I had this result," Aguilar said. "Those are not acceptable substances. But at the very least, by doing this out-of-competition test, we found this. We wouldn't have known had we not done the out-of-competition test."
Not the first time that's happened either, UFC doesn't want to lose that PPV money! They're all about the $$$
Not surprised about Diaz but didn't expect Silva to get caught, guess he needed a little something extra to recover from that injury...smh
Just stumbled across these. A little late but still on point.
