The rest is just too much recycled lyrics for me to really enjoy. I do like almost all the beats. Yeah Cleopatra is easily the gem and I never heard the original of Lion’s Pit so to me it’s very good, maybe because I think RZA & U-God are the worst and my standards are very low.
Math’s albums have always been remixes and some new stuff, but this time since he claimed it’s like a sequel to Saga Continues and has every member, I thought it would be different. False advertising for sure and a big slap in the face for any fan who bought the LP for some crazy prices. I’d return it immediately. But I didn’t have high hopes to begin with, but at least thought GZA would come with something new.
Yeah definitely lazy and to call this a new Wu album is the most disrespectful shit.

Beats are cool, and some of the tracks are good, but the reused verses are fucking lazy.
Its a joke charging what they charged for this. 84 CAD I paid for this. Dont give a shite about the one off covers or variants either, just give me good new shit dammit.
Maybe its rsd success (?) will get them all to get together and commit to a release going forward, even if its just providing new verses.

Anyone who thought they were getting a Wu album is dumb, it’s a mathematics album, with clever marketing, making people believe it’s a brand new Wu-tang album, tracks like Claudine and mandingo are decent, and 100% better than anything of mathematics earlier albums bar “respect mine” song & “thank u” song of love, hell and right!
Usually his releases are littered with eyeslow & Buddha bless, so what we have here is 100% better and hopefully the hype and clever marketing and unique sales will get the clan off there arse for one last proper album

Nobody thought they were getting a new Wu album. Not on this forum at least. lol They thought they were getting a new Mathematics album. The key word here is “NEW”, not Wu or Math. Everyone on this forum knows their catalog, so when a NEW project is announced as “brand NEW material from the Wu”, and one song is a bunch of non Wu cats and RZA verse from Hold The Heaters?! That’s pretty disappointing. And a pretty big deal to those that spent their money on this. I agree that the beats are good and at least one really great track Cleopatra (noticed last night MK drops a hint at his next single off his new album Balance, “peep the features, Snoop and Meth….glad to meet ya” His next single is called Pleased To Meet Ya ft Snoop and Meth lol) But the rest of the album is riddled with reused material. Just put out an instrumental album, or just a few singles like Killarmy did with Winter Warz 2 and Splitting Atoms. No try to fill an album with exactly that; filler. He could’ve had a nice string of like 4/5 really great singles, with artwork and all that stuff. This was lazy. And sorta insulting to the fans intelligence. Anyone on the fence about spending money on this should listen to the leaks first. And don’t feel bad about listening to them. Cuz Math and RZA certainly don’t feel bad about trying to sell the fans old material on a “new” album.Quote:
