These days it's more so about the economics of highly niche projects to make sense for someone who has a family to take care of, and finding a balance with a consumer who has the same responsibility. Unfortunately Wu projects these days do not offer anywhere near breakeven if released the standard commercial way.
I can respect that, of course, but why not give the die hard fans a chance to buy it and go the route you’ve taken? I guess you don’t own the rights fully of those tracks and releasing it through something like bandcamp would get you sued by Wu members or something, so you have to do it in a safe way? Still, regardless if that’s true, I don’t see how would offer me a chance at hearing the tracks at your studio but not sell it if you are indeed doing that right now.Quote:
