I pray for those po’ folk out there cold in the snow
From the ones in the forest to where the concrete grow
Where rats are bigger than cats & pimps push poison in veins
Kids kidnapped off of busses & trains & now they’re slaves with no names
I call them kids cause that word is used for baby goats
I see their ribs & goose bumps cause they can’t afford to have coats
Cause those in charge don’t care about the spirit of man
One man can change the Earth so I try the hardest I can
I stand, but my legs only can hold but so much weight
I eat food to feed my spirit, so I place no meat on my plate
I’m starting to get back to my regular weight; I’m building mass
I almost can’t wait to stand and instruct before my class
But everything comes in degrees and everything goes accord
I have some training to complete; I have to polish up my sword
So I can stand as a man that can see things for what they are
Understanding the constellations as formations and solo stars
Some call them ancestors on chariots guiding the way
But public schools can’t offer our children the tools to meditate and pray
Which are vital to their survival as individuals and as a tribe
Cause spirituality is the key and the only way for us to survive

I speak for those who are broken, the hopeless, mainly voiceless
who struggle from day to day to, those who juggle life's painful choices
those people who's souls are rottin', those grieving feeling forgotten
with tear filled eyes, who try to keep their heads to the sky
my desire, is to inspire, to motivate and make a difference
to plant seeds that sprout the belief there's true worth in our existence
we may suffer and meet resistance, but that should feed our persistence
fuel our need to be consistent if we're to go the full distance
It's time we move beyond popularized crimes and genocide
and embrace a true since of pride to silence a future generation of cries
unlearn a lifetime of lies sewn by those disguised as the wise
sternly believe our integrity should never be compromise
visualize change within our mind's eye, and trust in the power thereof
though some things will remain the same, we'll evolve from our new found love
towards the mental restoration of Kings, we’re descendants of royalty
with an adoration of Queens who are deserving of loyalty
learning from past mistakes and breaking free from their cycles
moving forward with clean slates that proudly display our new titles
we’ll drink from cup of unity that shall quench all our thirst
