Chicago has the 2nd biggest police dept. in the country, with 12,000+ sworn officers. Doubting it will spiral out of control like Baltimore.

(This is crazy) People need to realize that cops and minorities (blacks and SOME Hispanics) don't have a decent relationship with law enforcement. Even if a black man is walking, he's questioned. "What're you doing?" "Why are you wearing that?" "Will there be trouble?" No sudden movements.

If the authorities were handling the serious gang issue in Chicago and all of the killings that occur in the city, then...maybe things would be decent. When that 71 year old woman and her two year old grandson were murdered in Flint, MI by robbers, not one person gave a damn.

Other than her family members, the community, and her friends. I never once stated that cops should be allowed to murder people.

Overall, the violence must STOP, PERIOD! Here in Detroit, we have the Detroit 300, community activists, and some churches who care about the city itself. When Chief Craig entered office, Detroit's crime rate decreased. Now, there's been a spike in crime (carjackings and robberies) but the police response and EMS response has improved.

Police training and cultural training is needed. As I've stated before, these cops fear the people that they're serving.

it's even happening in rural low crime predominanetly, white commnities with people being shot or tazed to death over petty possesion or cops who can't dissfuse situations with the mentally ill.

there's been a lot complaints this week about police behavior. a writer/philosopher just filed a complaint cuz of racist behavior of cops. he was being checked by cops who thought they recognized a terrorist. after he proved his identity they proceeded to insult him still
