If you ask me, that shit shoulda been a draw. It was a real fucking close call, but none the less an amazing fight. Mexican boxer vs Mexican boxer = Sick ass boxing fight.

I can't wait to see the two Russians square off. Valuev vs. Vitali Klitchko. I think that would be a pounding match up between the two beasts.
that Marquez/Barrera fight was ill. Decision was scandelous tho, shit was closer than they scored it. Peeped how Barrera caught Marquez on the jaw while he was comin in? Brrrram!!!
tayler vs spinks may 19th
i dont see this one going spinks's way
Anyone think that Peter Manfredo has any chance tommorow against Calzaghe?
Oh man, what an interesting evening of boxing that was.
1) Amir Khan truly is world champ prospect. i hope you guys in the States watched him fight, if so, what ya'll think?
2)
Manfredo v Calzaghe...
( SHORT STORY > In hindsight Calzaghe would have won anyway but the fight was prematurely stopped)
At no point was Calzaghe hurting Manfredo, i saw Calz slapping very o0ften which i found was kinda comical. But calzaghe was def the better fighter, he was slick and moved very well. Mnfredo could have done the 12 rounds and fought more effectively than Lacy, but comon... he stood no real chance.
I think the referee was bit of an idiot, however, Manfredo wasnt coming back at all, Calzaghe was just roping him and throwing punches (slaps). in that sense, the ref didnt know what to do and just stopped it.
I wish he had stopped the slapping and given Manfredo a standing count. It would allow Manfredo to regain his pose at least, cos Manfredo was not knocked out at all... merely cornered.
REMATCH???
I didn't get the chance to watch any of the previous fights before the main even saturday. And I agree with everything you said about the Manfredo/Calzaghe fight, but I wouldn't like to see a rematch. I don't think Manfredo will ever be good enough to fight Calzaghe. I'd rather see Calzaghe come to the states to fight Hopkins, Taylor, Wright, Tarver or even see him fight Kessler in europe.
Did you all ever heard of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao (my kababayan)?
He completely shitted on most Mexican boxing legend
did zab judah fight last friday?
^^^Yea, he won on a no contest. Plus Klitschko is fight Brewster July 7 in Germany.
'Sup ya'll...I've been gone for a while now... The Pacman fight in San Antonio was the balls, JCC Jr. delivered a BRUTAL KO! BTW- don't hold your breath for MAB/Marquez 2. Pacman will be fighting Marquez next.
Sup Benzo, Pacman and Marquez sounds like a good fight. JCC Jr. is going to be hell out of a fighter when his time comes around. What, he's only 21 yrs old and already has had over 30 professional fights?
Anyone watching the special on HBO? It's good seeing Sugar Shane become Oscar's sparring partner, then Trinidad coming in for support. And supposedly 50 Cent is going to be performing before the fight, then walking down with PBF. 50 said he bet one million on PBF. :mmmyah:
And... Arturo Gatti is fighting contender's Alfonso Gomez on July 14 in Atlantic City. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...ory?id=2849511
Ahh yes... when i saw The Boxing Thread was leading the Sports Chamber I knew a De La Hoya/Mayweather debate was jumping off.....
Just like how i predicted Mayweather beat the shit out of Arturo Gotti, he will do the same with De La Hoya.... De La Hoya lost twice to Sugar Shane Mosely, and Mayweather is a superior boxer than Sugar Shane...
By the way... De La Hoya is overrated...he's a real good boxer, but not an all time great.... he fought 2 maybe 3 great fights, and he lost them all (Tito Trinidad, Shane Mosely twice and Bernard Hopkins)
Mayweather by unaminous decision....
^^That's a good point about Oscar matching up with Shane and coming up short because Shane IS much faster (hands and feet) than DLH and I do believe that PBF has superior speed compared to Shane. Still though, Mosley and Oscar can both take punches that PBF can't. PBF is about to experience a new level of punching power so we'll see how well he deals with it. Don't forget that little PBF has very brittle hands (like Gatti) and it's possible that he'll break his hand on DLH's chin before DLH thinks about going down lol. Peace-
OK it's time to hear the predictions.
I say Mayweather by close UD, but I'd like to see DLH pull off an upset.
(PBF going up in weight to fight, DLH is PBF toughest fight considering boxing knowledge, DLH has a better chin than PBF past contenders, and they say DLH is at the best shape of his life:looking: )
mayweather is being his usual and talking sooooo much shit about golden boy! im a big PBF fan, but not of his antics. did you watch his outings with 50 cent??? lolll apparently 50 is the PBF of hip hop and vica versa.
anyway, back to boxing. DLH is harder at punching and will hurt PBF more. However, the legendary status of DLH and also his skill puts his nam up there as a great fighter against PBF, BUT still, PBF will be too fast and too slick for DLH. I agree with RynMur with a close UD. PBF might not have the punching power to KO DLH.
It will be a close and a great fight hopefully. Much hype deserves much boxing action!
Fuck it, I'll go with a DLH KO in the championship rounds. It would be so good for boxing...
lol benzo always enthusiastic about PBF :p
whats happnin anyway, bin a while!!!
After a big boxing weekend in Vegas. Diego Corrales was killed in a motorcycle accident monday night. Rest in peace to one of the most exciting boxers to watch in the ring.

R.I.P. Chico. Thank you for the thrills and for putting your life on the line as a profession to entertain me.
tayler vs spinks this week this should be a boring fight i dont think spinks has a good chance to win but u never know
Oh shit i forgot that Miranda and Pavlik are fighting tomm. on the undercard. That should be a good fight.
wow taylor did not impress me at all tonight
What a boring fight. I never want to see another Cory Spinks fight again. Taylor wasn't that impressive, but Spinks ran the entire fight. This guy is a joke, from coming into the ring, to showing off in the 12 rd, and his reaction after the fight. Did anyone score the fight for Spinks? The judge that scored it 9-3 for Spinks must of been watching something else.
boxing is over....
r.i.p. diego corrales
anthony peterson got next
