NCAA College Football Thread

on the road in a night game...and the game wasnt a blowout.


Bottom line is it doesnt matter the records so much as it does luck in college football.

To me, Auburn, Alabama, and Ohio State were the most talented teams.

TCU didnt play any regular season game that could rival on the road against Wisconsin.


Until we get a playoff though, none of this can be determined, but what a playoff would do is seperate the best, deepest teams from the lesser teams. I'm not saying there couldnt be upsets, there would be, but I doubt TCU could run the table.

Oregon was good enough to beat Auburn. The game almost went into overtime, if not for some weird play, where they didn't realize the guy wasn't down.

I personally think Ohio State would have beat Auburn and I think in a rematch Alabama would have beaten them. They were up 24-0 in that game.

And you gotta give Auburn a shot because of Cam Newton.


We have this same bullshit discussion every year in college football.

But my opinion is that TCU couldnt hang with the best teams in America. Wisconsin had a good year, but Wisconsin is not as deep and talented as Auburn, Bama or Ohio State. Thats a fact.

Thats not to say that the most talented teams cant be beaten, its just that a true playoff will seperate the pretenders from the contenders.

For instance, if TCU played Wisky in a round one matchup, yea they coulda won, but if they got ALA, AUB or OSU in the next round, i doubt they survive.

TCU just needs to join one of the big 4 conferences(big10, pac10, big12, SEC).

why not? if they think they're good enough to play with the big boys THEN DO IT!

going to the big Least is weak. they may as well have stayed in the MWC.

the whole thing is petty and overdone. but i guess he did violate the "rules".


my guess is they may have to vacate the wins the players were a part of (no big deal), and serve their 5 game suspensions.

dude has been wallowing in the mud for the past decade. there's no reason for him to leave over some ring sales other than being totally exposed. he knows this is just the tip of the iceberg just like carol did.

well, he got one NC, a bunch of big ten titles, and got over on michigan so i guess it was worth it.

I don't know how i feel about this, but The Ohio State University is nothin like USC. I wasn't a huge fan of tressel and his coaching, but he shouldn't have went out like that.

anyways, I don't think we'll stop winning like we always do, and we can't lose with the list of coaches that might take over. IMO Tressel's coaching style is why The Ohio State University was mostly an underachieving program. I think with somebody like Meyer, Peterson, or Dantoni, we would have a better chance at a NC



And let me add, we have never cheated. Cheating and breaking rules are two different things. those players broke the rules
