A marvelous day is upon us! As we mentioned in the previous update, Kikizo.com gave us a heads-up about a report on Shenmue that was coming soon. Well, now the report is here, and contains information we've been so longing for!!

According to Kikizo, Shenmue III is coming to the next generation of consoles. The new plan is to include the whole series (which is nearly finished) - chapters 1-16 - on at least one next-generation console. The only question now is which console it is to be released on? Apparently, it all depends on whether a deal is to be made with Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo. It is also possible that it could show up as a multiplatform game. We're still unsure as to when SEGA will officially announce the game and the platform, but Adam tells us that we should not expect an announcement at Tokyo Game Show this year, if in 2005 at all.

Finally the whole series is nearly finsihed and we possible can kill Lan Di, How sweet it was 4 years ago to end Shenmue II. I've been waiting for this ever since i sat sail with that boat for Hong Kong

I never played 2 but Shenmue on the Dreamcast was incredible

this is great news, Shenmue is the best game ive ever played.

I just hope it will be on the PS3.

this was kind of a hate it or love it game

ppl either hated the extensive gameplay of working waiting walking around playing games training or loved it and went on to colect about everything
this was on helluva game with 3 & 4 GD-rom's

you know were first planning to implement a bicyle in the first part as seen in the What's Shenmue demo

To me this is the best and most original game ever created. Hands down.

The fact it was on the Dreamcast alot of people overlooked it (Dreamcast was an underated console), if you have the chance to sit down for a few hours and play it, do so. This isnt a rent title, you really have to play it.

I never played on a Dreamcast, but I remember when the 1st Shenmue was comin' out. The reviews made me want to go and buy a Dreamcast .

That's good news becuase I honestly felt that part 2 was gonna be the last one we saw. I'm glad to see that they're carrying it on to the end like they said they would. I myself am excited abotu that. I've gone through the first one like 5 times and I'm about halfway through part 2. But one things for certain it'll definately show up on the PS3 if it is a multi platform release but my hunch is telling me this one is gonna be a X360 release.

Luckily Shenmue 2 was released as PAL, so we finally fot lucky.
Did you know the US version was released in Japan, with all the English voice actors, and the normal Japan version actually had Pepsi cans in it.

yeah what a fucking game though gotta give am2 and sega their dues, along with konami they're by far the most inivative and productive company for games

i can';t wait for this hope it comes out for both ps3 and xbox
