Mac Dre was like a god in the Bay Area and still is; he also has a large fanbase in the Midwest as well; go to any Rasputin's and you are guaranteed to be able to find any Mac Dre release; no matter how obscure it is.
most of his influence was definitely in the bay. southern cali fucks with him, but not as much as the bay, washington, and damn near the whole midwest region... vegas also
Mac dre is still popular up here in seattle. Him and nickatina are my favorites from the bay.
nickatina has to be my favorite from the bay
he was more influential to the whole hyphy movement shit...he's pretty big all over the west coast, even up here in the NW
^^^he's dope..him n mac dre made an album together..MAAAAAAD underrated
^^best song on the album
i hate that dude messy marv....ol fake wannabe gangsta
up
"U Beezy" is probably one of my favourite tracks from them:
FUCK MAC DRe
FATAL MAKES THE WORST THREADS ON WUCORP
I used to quite like hyphy music so I've heard a fair amount of his work. Get Stupid, Thizzle Dance, Feelin Myself and Sizzlin used to get constant plays
dude lay down the foundation for a lot of west coast artist to do there thing independently like the jacka and mob figaz, j stalin. even messy marv lame ass.
messy marv might be the most hated on the west coast now
I used to love bay area music. Mac dre with khayree was dope. Khayree, ant banks, mike mosely and studio ton are crazy underrated as producers. Nickatina aka dre dog was insane. I remember coppin that New Jim jones album in 93 or 94 and burnt a whole in that tape. Loved old bay area shit, especially before the Hyphy shit.
^i feel you.
there some rappers that dont contribute or condone the hyphy movement (yuk is one) which was coined by keak da sneak.
Thizz In Peace to Mac Dre' twenty years ago today.
Mac Dre would have been fifty five years old today Thizz In Peace
Thizz In Peace to the Bay Area legend twenty one years ago today.. 🤟🏿💊
