23 reasons why the Xbox 360 will follow the Dreamcast
23 eerie parallels between Xbox 360 and the Sega Dreamcast.
by Sam Kennedy 11.04.2005
Ever since the first details of the Xbox 360 hit the web, gamers have drawn comparisons to Sega's ill-fated (yet still highly regarded) Dreamcast console. There are the obvious examples - the timing of the launches or the color of the hardware - but then there are a lot of not so obvious ones, too. As part of our Xbox 360 countdown, we've put together a list of our favorites. Noticed any others? Email us.

I only play first person shooters on PC.
Re: 23 reasons why the Xbox 360 will follow the Dreamcast
PC has some good games... but most of the games they release on PC are First Person Shooter and Strategy games. It's always the same.
Re: 23 reasons why the Xbox 360 will follow the Dreamcast
The PC market pretty muhc collapsed after PS2 and XBox began fighting. XBOx even took hold off the online market, and it began to be cool to play games in your living room and you could watch movies, which was already accepted.
Re: 23 reasons why the Xbox 360 will follow the Dreamcast
the 360 isn't goin to hold a candle to the PS3...if you're thinkin of buyin it save ur money. It's rumored that you'll be able to install Linux onto the PS3 and run an emulator that will allow you to play 360 games. If this is actually the case then there's really no reason to buy both systems.
Re: 23 reasons why the Xbox 360 will follow the Dreamcast
you got some link to that?
loved to read mroe on that, but question then will be, are you able to play on live?
also its rumored sony isnt gonna host his online services like xbox live an is gonna give it back like the PS2, which was commonly said a mess, there online services where a fuckup, sony couldve dominated if they had a decent online service
Re: 23 reasons why the Xbox 360 will follow the Dreamcast
^I would think they'd be smart about it this time around but just not sure. As for the link, I got that info from a professor at school who knows an ungodly amount of info about the PS3. I'll ask him about it next time I have class (Friday) and try to get a site from him posted up here. I'm not sure where he's gettin his info from.
Re: 23 reasons why the Xbox 360 will follow the Dreamcast
I was gonna get 360, but Im just gonna wait for PS3 and get 360 once the better games come out. The launch titles suck, besides Elder Scrolls and Perfect Dark, but so did Xboxs. I remember they said Xbox would fail too...
I dont think itll beat Sony this time around, but I think itll be a hell of alot closer than the current gen race...
