first a fake ghost, then a fake nas. Is this the era we're in? We should expect a fake raekwon and noreaga next.
A fake ghost? U mean Action Bronson? He's dope as fuck don't know how anyone is still comparing him to ghost, totally different rapper and they really don't sound alike once you listen to him.
And the old droog was discussed here quite a bit when this first came out
Dude doesn't sound like Nas to me
edit: He does on the ep tracks
Some one send my a link for his LP.
Thank in advance.
After listening to Bronze Enough times you sorta hear the iddference
he has the same cadence as GFK
Theres always been MCs with the same cadence as the greats
Papoose- Big L
Action Bronson- GFK
Guerilla Black- Biggie
at one point Joell Ortiz resembled Big Pun
now its Baby Pun sounding like his dad
young dirty bastard sounding like his dad
Old Droog sounding like Nas
its hard to mimick the Legends and get props for it
if you look at young dirty bastard, if he wasngt ODBs son everyone would be shitting on him for trying to emulate ODB.
Old Droog imo has done a great job emulating Nas
his EP is dope as f@ck
If he came out whack then for sure he'd be on the chopping block
Id like to see him collab with Nas like how GFK and Action Bronson have done.
i have yet to see someone emulate 2pac.....
I personally never heard the similarities between Action Bronson and Ghostface or felt he was jacking Ghosts' style
There is a person that emulates Tupac. Search the threads it was posted here.
^^Krazy from 504 Boyz (No Limit) emulated Pac. So did Tha Realest (2nd generation Death Row signee).
Haha yeah there's Kasinova Tha Don that people think is 2pac that sounds mad identical to Pac but remember in The New Death Row era with all of those wack dudes they put out there was another 2pac imitator, I think he was called Tha Realest.
C-Murder bites 2Pac hard on some songs too. On this one it's supposed to be 'a tribute'.
woah !! thats news to me
i heard of 2pac look a likes but not music!!
thanks for the info !
cheers gents
When it comes to jacking 2pac it doesn't get much worse than this
Lol @ calling someone a fake 2pac while you rap over a 2pac beat and word for word jack one of his verses
Plus on that C Murder album Snoop jacks Ice Cube's Gangsta Gangsta verse
Chiba, if you're interested in this kind of thing... Krazy (used to be called Crazy) has got a few solo albums out (I shed tears for the world, Please don't kill me and Breather life), then there's the 504 Boyz & other No Limit releases. But he was in a group first, called Murder Inc. (I kid you not). They released two independent albums, Playin for keeps & Let's die 2-gether.

Yeah, lots of Pac drama going on in this album cover lol.
respect !
Im not crazy about rappers immitating/emulating/or having he same cadence as a legend
but if they get it right then for sure it makes for some good tunes.
as an artist its a big risk to even go there. And if you flop youre pretty much done for.
your old droog put out some good music...it reminds me of Nas back in the day.
today , sadly Nas isnt really saying much. I wonder if Droog has a friend that sounds like AZ
I like this Crazy guy. With all the 2pac conspiracies goin around. It makes me wonder
if Krazy worked on those unreleased 2pac tracks? guess im adding more gas to the fire
its one thing to sound like nas, but blatantly trying to flow like him puts me off this cat
I wonder what Nas would say? (he'd probably humble him same way he did J.Cole..lol)
Action Bronson & GFK seem to be cool about it.
To be honest I dont think he will get much or any attention
theres a guy in this rap rock group called hollywood undead and he kinda sounds like eminem...minus the bars !!
Im not a fan of thier music tho
Nas is absolutely aware of him and has spoken many times about him bc of constant speculation that this was Nas using a pseudonym. There were conspiracy theory-type blogs entries, youtube videos and manipulated audio trying to prove that it was Nas.
Contrary to your prediction, Your Old Droog has received a ton of attention, to the point where his "debut" concert following the buzz around his EP and loose singles was held at Webster Hall, was completely sold out and was covered by nearly all press, including the New York Times.
Glad to! You can (legally) download a good amount of Your Old Droog's stuff form his soundcloud page or through Audiomack. Most of his stuff is very enjoyable.
He has never given any feedback beyond that to my knowledge. I'm gonna take something back here though...I said Nas has spoken about him many times...that was inaccurate. There was one interview with MTV (link below) where he is exposed to the situation for the first time and then I recall seeing one other interview where he reaffirms it's not him.
I think some people were devastated to discover it wasn't him after they spent so much time trying to prove it was.

cheers mate:beer:
yea im sure those ppl were devistated
I wasn't devastated at all when i found out it wasn't NAS
i think i wouldve been if, my buddy told me it was some new nas stuff
instead of an old freestyle.
I dont think Nas cares right now...If Droog blows up and gets serious exposure
perhaps Nas would say something. You'd be surprised on how many people dont know about him.
I genuinely thought it was Nas and Nas might be the greatest rapper of all time, so clearly the kid is talented.
But at the same time it puts me off that hes such a biter or sounds so similar, I'll just listen to Nas.

DJ Skizz- Hot Breath (f. Your Old Droog, Sean Price, Fame & Milano Constantine)
This dude is on nas dick hard
while action is pretty sick and has different style
when I first started listen to action many years ago, the ghost face thing was there, now it's not.. now i've been listening to Droog a couple months i can pretty much differentiate between him and nas.
just be happy we got an up and coming dude that spit hard and seemingly always over dope production
also that 5 fingers of death droog did on sway in the morning was fire!
