How Civil War Will Connect To Avengers: Infinity War, According To Chris Evans
In 2016, Joe and Anthony Russo's Captain America: Civil War will be launching what is known as Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But while the film is just the first piece in a rather large puzzle, evidently it will be immediately sewing seeds for Marvel Studios' biggest event yet: the two-parter Avengers: Infinity War, set to play out in 2018 and 2019.
Chris Evans, who will obviously be headlining Captain America: Civil War, recently chatted with MTV about his role in the 2016 blockbuster, and while answering the question of whether or not the movie will feel more like another Avengers title, the actor revealed that what will go down in the movie will set the stage for the big time arrival of Thanos and his epic quest to collect the Infinity Stones and acquire the powers of a god. Said Evans,Captain America: Civil War is the jump-off into The Avengers: The Infinity War. Civil War is going to be the setup for the real battle. So yeah, there are a lot of people - a lot of people in Cap 3.This is definitely an interesting quote, but there are definitely multiple ways to interpret what he is saying. On the most basic level, he may simply be saying that Captain America: Civil War is in part setting up The Avengers: Infinity War by simple nature of being the first movie in Phase Three. The most extreme way to take what he's said is that the movie will feature events that will directly fuel the plot of the two-part epic (like the introduction of a new Infinity Stone, perhaps). It will be interesting to see how the connection winds up being made, given that Civil War is very much an Earth-bound story while Infinity War will very likely involve a great deal of cosmic action.
As for the last part of Chris Evans' statement, he definitely isn't exaggerating, as Captain America: Civil War will have an ensemble that should rival the team put together by Joss Whedon in both The Avengers and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Joining Evans in the movie will be Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, and a player-to-be-named-later as Spider-Man. Exactly how screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus will fit them all into the narrative is a bit of a mystery at the moment, but it's one that we're eager to unfold.
Captain America: Civil War has reportedly already started production down in Atlanta, Georgia, and will be heading to theaters on May 6, 2016. -
The first promo art of “Captain America: Civil War” has surfaced online. The superheroes from the Marvel universe will return in the movie to choose sides between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. Meanwhile, a new report suggests that William Hurt will return as General Ross in the movie. [Spoiler Alert!]
Umberto Gonzalez of Latino Review has been leaking many concept arts and other information about major superhero movies currently in production in Hollywood. This picture posted on his Instagram account is a concept art that is meant to promote the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War.”
The image shows the clash between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. Readers will notice that a light shade of blue is used in the background for Steve, while a light shade of red is used in the background for Tony in the picture. The image is accompanied by the word “BOOM.” Some of the fans expressed their excitement after seeing the picture.
“Captain America: Civil War” will pick up after the events of “Avengers 2.” According to the official synopsis of the movie, governments across the globe will pass an act to regulate superhuman activity in the movie. The legislation will divide the superhero community, with one faction led by Tony Stark coming out in support, while another faction led by Steve Rogers voices its strong opposition.
While many of the superheroes in “Captain America: Civil War” will choose their respective sides, one major character will be missing. Mark Ruffalo hasn’t been confirmed to play the role of Hulk in the movie yet. The previous Marvel movie showed how the character decided to leave the team and go on his own way towards the end.
A new report suggests that William Hurt will be one of the cast members in “Captain America: Civil War.” A report by AJC lists the actor as one of the cast members currently in Atlanta where the production of the movie began a few days ago.
William Hurt played the role of General ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross in the 2008 movie “The Incredible Hulk.” Comic book fans will remember that the character later turns into the Red Hulk. Will “Captain America: Civil War” feature a Red Hulk instead of Mark Ruffalo’s character? The producers have so far not confirmed that William Hurt is a cast member in the movie, so readers are advised to treat the report as a rumour at this time.
good news, I love the infinity war.
I couldn't read all the info @ work, but I thought the infinity war needed Adam Warlock to be relevant??
Martin Freeman Joins Marvel's 'Captain America: Civil War'
Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" has added another name to its growing cast with Martin Freeman, who will make his debut in the film.
"From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in 'The Office,' Martin's range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us," said "Captain America: Civil War" Producer Kevin Feige. "We couldn't be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
Celebrated for his roles in "Sherlock," "Fargo," the “Hobbit” trilogy, and much more, Freeman has earned one Primetime Emmy® Award and one BAFTA Award, both for his portrayal of Doctor John Watson in "Sherlock." Martin has also been nominated for a Golden Globe® for his role of Lester Nygaard in “Fargo”, and nominated for a further two Emmy Awards and two BAFTA Awards. Most recently Martin has been seen hosting SNL and has filmed Tina Fey's untitled wartime black comedy.

here's a theory on who Freeman might play ...
-----------------------------------------------------
Marvel announced today that actor Martin Freeman has been cast for the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. Based on the hit Marvel event, Civil War, which has hero fighting hero over the decision to register all super-powered beings, both bad and good, it has yet to be announced who Freeman will be playing.
It's hard to figure out who he is playing though, but taking a guess, out of the blue, maybe he could play Henry Gyrich, a politician who is nothing but trouble for super-human beings. In fact, at one point, he was brainwashed and tried to depower all powered beings. But hey, that's just our stab in the dark show.

Emily VanCamp Reprising Her Role As Agent 13 In ‘Captain America: Civil War’
In the wake of Revenge ending its four-season run on ABC, sources tell Deadline that actress Emily VanCamp is returning as Agent 13 aka Kate aka Sharon Carter in Walt Disney Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War.
Agent 13 appeared briefly in Captain America: Winter Soldier as the superhero’s next door neighbor under the alias of Kate. She is ordered by S.H.I.E.L.D. to protect him. Her storyline in Civil War is under wraps. In the comics, Sharon is the niece of Peggy Carter, Captain America’s love interest in the first feature installment, who also had her own miniseries on ABC, Agent Carter, earlier this year. The films have not yet established that Agent 13 is Sharon Carter, though she is known as such by legions of Marvel fans.

Martin Freeman’s New Marvel Role Could Be Deeply Twisted
http://photos.vanityfair.com/2015/05...in-america.jpg
Earlier this week Marvel announced that Martin Freeman would be joining his Sherlock and Hobbit co-star Benedict Cumberbatch in the brotherhood of Marvel movie stars. There are no plans yet for the two to share screen time; Freeman will appear in Captain America: Civil War in May 2016, and Cumberbatch, as far as we know, won’t make his Marvel debut until he plays the title role of Doctor Strange in November later that year. But a new rumor indicates that Freeman’s role might extend well beyond Civil War, and, if that’s the case, he could wind up paired with pretty much anyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (M.C.U.).
Though Marvel has yet to officially announce Freeman’s role, odds are his role in the third Captain America film will be fairly small. The cast is already overcrowded with Avengers like Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, and Don Cheadle squaring off against each other. (Hence, “Civil War.”) Sebastian Stan is slated to return as the Winter Soldier seen in the last Cap adventure, Emily VanCamp will reprise her role from that film as well, and both Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and an as-yet uncast new Spider-Man are scheduled to make their M.C.U. debuts. Marvel just confirmed Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man will make an appearance and, strangest of all, William Hurt will reprise his role from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. (That movie, confusingly, starred Edward Norton, not Mark Ruffalo, as Bruce Banner, so many people forget it’s actually part of the current M.C.U.) So where, exactly, could Martin fit in to all this?
Rumor has it, Freeman will play “an interrogator” and U.S. government agent assigned to the fictional African nation of Wakanda. Wakanda was name-dropped several times in Avengers: Age of Ultron; it’s where you find Vibranium and Andy Serkis’s Ulysses Klaw. It’s also the home, in the comics, to T’challa, a.k.a. Black Panther. Given the description of Freeman’s character, most comic-book aficionados have decided he’ll be playing a fairly obscure character called Everett Ross. And based on what we know of Ross’s arc in the comic books, it’s very likely Freeman will start off as his usual bumbling, charming self in Captain America: Civil War, before turning bad and joining forces with Klaw in Black Panther.
That kind of subversion of expectations is exactly what made Freeman’s portrayal in the first season of FX’s Fargo so compelling, so it’s reasonable to hope for that same kind of comic-relief-turned-villain arc in Freeman’s Marvel role. If that’s the case, it’s unlikely that Freeman’s U.S. government agent in Wakanda will have any cause to cross paths with Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme. But if, as some are speculating, Freeman doesn’t go full villain and becomes the new Agent Coulson instead, then, well, a blissful Cumberbatch/Freeman partnership could be Marvel’s next big bromance. Stranger things have happened.
Cap (with shield) vs Ironman.
See, in the comic book, Cap won with and without the shield. Ironman won one fight by rushing Cap from behind.
Cap handled Ultron by himself. He'll make short work of Ironman.
Hawkeye and Black Panther May Be Major Adversaries In Captain America: Civil War
http://www.cinemablend.com/images/ne...keye_71454.jpg
Captain America: Civil War will bring the popular comic book story arc to life on the big screen, pitting Steve Rogers against Tony Stark in a political battle over the future of all superheroes. But if the latest rumor is correct, then there’s also going to be another epic face-off to look forward to. Forget Batman vs. Superman. How about Hawkeye vs. Black Panther?
Chadwick Boseman is going to make his first appearance as the Wakandan prince in Civil War, and the latest information suggests he’s going to have his own agenda in the film. Whatever that may be, it might put him at odds with the arrow-slinging Avenger. According to Latino Review’s Umberto Gonzalez, there’s going to be "a huge fight" between these two superheroes.
HOT RUMOR! In #CAPTAINAMERICA #CIVILWAR, #Hawkeye has a huge fight against #BlackPanther! Who do you have as the winner? I got T'Challa because as Wesley Snipes once famously said, "Always bet on black!" #MarvelStudios #MARVEL #marvelcomics #MCU
Who do you think will win? It’s difficult to sneak attack Hawkeye, as seen when Scarlet Witch tries to put the mental whammy on him from behind, and the archer has incredible far sight and accuracy with his weapon. He’s also a skilled fighter, having been trained by S.H.I.E.L.D. He even grappled with Black Widow when he was brainwashed in The Avengers. However, we haven’t seen Black Panther in action. As a major player in the comic books with incredible strength and agility, the cat could very well swallow this bird.
Captain America: Civil War is currently filming with a cast of characters that also includes Crossbones, Baron Zemo, Sharon Carter and General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.
cant wait
Frank Grillo managed to deliver a menacing and memorable performance as Brock Rumlow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, even against fellow antagonists in the Terminator-esque Winter Soldier and acting chops of Robert Redford. The film represented an origin story of sorts for the fearless Hydra officer and it ended with him almost being burned alive inside the ruins of The Triskelion (S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters).
Grillo hasn’t been shy about teasing his return for Captain America: Civil War, even firing public messages at Chris Evans over Twitter to hype up their next onscreen confrontation and talking over the months of how he’s getting in shape for the role and getting fitted for his real “Crossbones” costume from Marvel Comics.
With production beginning earlier this week on Captain America 3, set photos have surfaced online daily, revealing Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie in costume as Captain America and Falcon, respectively, alongside a funeral sequence which includes them alongside Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Emily VanCamp’s Agent 13.
Now we can add to the collection of unofficial photos something entirely new, the first look at Frank Grillo’s Crossbones costume:
http://screenrant.com/captain-americ...bones-costume/ (sorry couldn't embed, click link for pic)
We wouldn’t be surprised to see Crossbones use different gear throughout the film but in this particular image, he’s suited up in heavy armor with a mercenary mask featuring his crossbones markings from the comics. The most interesting features are the powered metal fist attachments, seemingly designed to wreck stuff (read: people) up close. Perhaps he uses it to even the odds against Cap in one-on-one combat?

My Review of Captain America: Civil WarWhen the Russo brothers (Joe and Anthony) directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it blew people away with all of the amazing cast of actors, the production, the special effects, and the realistic action. Well, the Russo brothers have achieved it yet again with Captain America: Civil War. With the brilliant acting, the superb writing, the top-notch directing, wonderful production, and the genius special effects, all you have to say is, “Wow”. Most people would state that Civil War is pretty much The Avenger 3 minus Thor and Hulk. No, this isn’t The Avengers 3 because this movie is about a disagreement over international oversight of the Avengers fractures them into opposing factions - one led by Steve Rogers (Captain America and the other by Tony Stark (Ironman). Out of all of the Marvel films that have been released, Civil War is one of the greatest!
Everyone from the directors (Joe and Anthony Russo), the writers (Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely), the producer (Kevin Feige), music director (Henry Jackman), and the cast, this film was very well put together without a doubt. In regards to the cast, the actors were absolutely on the top of their game. Every actor played their role with perfection and they make you feel as if it IS real! Fortunately, Black Panther was brilliant from start to finish. Chadwick Boseman who plays T'Challa / Black Panther is the prince of the African nation of Wakanda. Fun fact: Black Panther was brought in Civil War because Kevin Feige stated that, “The reason we introduced him in Civil War is because we needed a third party. We needed fresh eyes who wasn't embedded with the Avengers and who has a very different point of view than either Tony or Steve.” (Cannot wait until the Blank Panther film in 2018)
Captain America: Civil War is more than just a comic book film; it is a film that is superior to a typical action film in every way possible. This movie has great action, hilarious scenes, sad moments that will make you think, uplifting moments, most importantly, the film will challenge you to decide whose side are you on: Team Cap or Team Iron. You choose. This film is 100% genius in every aspect; the film is entertaining at its best. For this, it should be given a classic status.
5/5
5/5????
ill leave that alone lol
I'd give it a 3.5/5
Compared to some of the other superhero movies that came out this year, it looks like a goddamn masterpiece
Cap now has his own statue in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. it's a 900 kg bronze statue
the statue itself was revealed earlier during some comicon event
http://deredactie.be/polopoly_fs/1.2...1576780704.jpg
the statue will be on show in various places in Brooklyn until the end of the year (Cap is a Brooklynite)
there is no word yet on an eventual permanent spot for the statue
Did they actually go through with giving captain America a boyfriend or is that for the 3rd film?
