According to AP Prince died today. Earlier reports said the police was called to his recording complex called Paisley Park in Chanhassen (Minneapolis) where a body had been found. AP now states this was Prince.
Last week Prince performed twice while feeling ill. On the way home his private jet had to make an extra stop to give him treatment in a hospital.
Prince had made a deal recently to write an autobiography.
His last two albums were HitNRn Phase One (available online & as a physical release) and HitNRun Phase Two (as far as I know this last album was only available on TIDAL)
I'm a huge Prince fan. I'd never thought he'd die this early. I got into Prince's musice around the time he released Diamonds & Pearls, which was a commercial and critical success after a period in which people had begun to doubt his output.

RIP to a legend. feels like someone I knew has just died. I listened to all of his output extensively, read many biographies, know the songs he wrote for other bands well too. this guy has been in my life since my early teens. saw him live in concert. went to fan meetings.

I had a chance to meet Prince at his house lol. A friend of mine was being hit on heavy by a girl from Lake Minnetonka. Older, good looking, he didn't allow it to happen because he had self doubt issues but that's another story. She was very rich and insisted that Prince was her neighbor.
He evidently keeps his front door open and anyone can walk in and hang out when he's home. She was going back home for a weekend and invited me and my friend to come out. He pussied out and I couldn't be all 'well i'll go' cause I didn't know her. He only invited me because he was idk, scared of her or something. I think it was an intimidation thing.
Anyways she came back and said he had a party that weekend which is pretty normal for him when he's home. That's my Prince story. RIP

I had saw the headline at Yahoo.com and I did a double take to see if I was tripping. I read the headline again and it said Prince died at 57 and I was like wow. I listened to his albums today at home called Prince(this was his 2nd album and he rode a horse naked on the back of the album hahahahahahahahahaha. He did a song called I Wanna Be Your Lover on the album and he said I wanna be the only one you cum for LOL.), Controversy(he did a song called Jack You Off that talks about masturbating hahahahahahahahahaha), 1999, Purple Rain and Around The World In A Day. Clarence Williams III who played Prince's dad in Purple Rain movie is a good actor. I saw his movies Deep Cover with Larry Fishburne, Hoodlum with Larry Fishburne, Sugar Hill with Wesley Snipes and American Gangster with Denzel Washington. I also like Appolonia and r&b group The Time that were in Purple Rain. I'm listening to Jesse Johnson of The Time now on Youtube of a old interview he did with BET's Video Soul host Donnie Simpson. Jesse is talking about how Prince treated him and The Time very bad when they first started. He said Morris Day was mad at Prince for firing Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis because Morris was the leader of the group and he felt that he should be doing the firing. Prince was mad at Jimmy and Terry for producing artists while they were with The Time. Jesse also talked about Prince had a issue with dance steps that The Time did that the crowd loved when they did concerts. Jesse said he felt that Prince was being too petty about stuff The Time did that Prince didn't like.
I also remember Prince had wrote the word slave on his face because he felt like he was a slave to record company Warner Brothers. Warner Brothers wouldn't let him have the masters to his songs until he took them to court and he won his lawsuit. That's why he changed his name to a symbol so Warner Brothers wouldn't control him LOL. I gave up on Prince after Diamonds And Pearls album because his music started to suck and it wasn't funky anymore like it was when he first started. Rapper Common made me laugh on Two Scoops Of Raisins song from Can I Borrow A Dollar album when he said Prince's Get Off song. He said I don't have to get off like Prince. So I don't have to show my ass LOL.
