The production credits almost look too good to be true. Pete Rock, finally. And I think and hope these are going to be good RZA beats from the pre-2010's yellow box.
Nas' song selection is usually not consistent for his regular albums but the first Lost Tapes is probably his best album outside of his first 2. My logic is that Nas has no ear so he leaves the gold on the cutting room floor.

This looks sick. Don't wanna expect too much from this tho.

For first listen of an album i always go thru it with no skips from front to back. But for this I feel like I am going to listen to the 2 RZA tracks right away. I am really hoping he gave him something dusty out of the vault. Most likely we will be disappointed and it will be something along the lines of the Jay n Kanye track which was decent but nothing memorable. Fingers crossed. Peace
What's bad about that track? Y'all find any reason to not like something on this website.

I guess people are not used to Nas using double time flow..

I actually don't mind it on 2nd listen, but I can't see it becoming a future favorite. Hopefully its one of the weaker tracks.

That song is stupid, Nas is a goofball.
I'm positive this will suck but there will be 1 song I can add to my playlist which is what matters.

I'm sure there will be more than one song; theres 16 tracks, his hit to miss ratio is a lot better than that. Only 3 days to go, thats amazing - Nas fans have literally been waiting for this over a decade and all of a sudden its here.

Can't wait! 2 RZA joints on a Nas album? Bring it on! Hope they don't suck ass like his recent beats though.
That RZA track is fire gtfoh. Hate runs through this message board.

There's some good songs here. Of course Nas has also made a song chastizing successful black people who speak proper english and aren't street, because it wouldn't be a Nas record without a laughable facepalm moment.
But yeah I like a good chunk of this off my first few listens.

Did Nas remember to include himself in that song?, because he is one of the biggest nerds in hip hop.
Tanasia is the most critically acclaimed it seems.

Yes, everybody's high hopes were met with the two Rza tracks.

Pretty dope album. RZA actually had the best beats on there. Nas should holla at Riz again

Not sure if this is worth watching. Usually the shorter interviews on here are weak. Some of them are great though, the ones with Wu, Faith Evans, Lil' Cease are really good.

I've been playing this alot, got some great songs imo. Definitely way better than the Nasir one from I think last year. That first single had me worried though, that shit is garbage, but luckily it was the worst track on there.
Best song imo:

I gave it some spins and I think it’s a nice album. I won’t go as far to say that it’s vintage Nas but it’s still very good. Definitely better than Nasir.
Maybe 3 tracks I could do without, but the album has some replay value on it.

I know I'm late on this, but this album disappointed me, Nas is the rapper I really want to like, and his skills are dope, but his beat selection is always kinda dull, why doesn't he chooses grimier beats?
