Enjoying this one recently.
Love the 80s hits. Phil Collins had insane catchy songs.
great song, just heard it again yesterday in 'On Becoming A God In Central Florida'
^ Didn't know this song. Yes, cool track. I'm sure it must have been on a GTA radio station by now.

Billy Ocean - Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car (Official Video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNgcYGgtf8M
Who's that lady coming down the road?
Who's that lady?
Who's that woman walking through my door?
What's the score?
I'll be the sun shining on you
Hey Cinderella step in your shoe
I'll be your non-stop lover
Get it while you can
Your non-stop miracle, I'm your maaaaaaaan
That's me dancing by the fire hydrant at the 2:22 mark LOL

Kool & The Gang - Get Down On It (Official Video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qchPLaiKocI
I remember our English teacher using this vid as a lesson introduction to talk about some expressions in English. Back when tvs were wheeled into classrooms and VHS tapes were HAPPENING.
He also had us analyze some of Reagan's tv speeches.
Great teacher.
'Get outta my dream' is classic, f*ck anybody who thinks otherwise.
Nick Kershaw's "Wouldn't it be good" and "The Riddle" were on the radio all the time back in the day.
Anyway, here's my (kitschy) pick : Germans! Synthesizers! Smoke machine!
Classic post 80s moment : Paul King's mom calling in on his 80s nostalgia show on MTV to request her son's "Love and pride". LOL. He was slightly embarrassed. Somehow I've remembered.
^^Didn't know Alphaville were German

Oh shit. Fleetwood mac. I knew a DJ who used to juggle their records something special.
Now let's revisit 1983

The Whispers - Keep On Lovin' Me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6aRvVTSC0I
^ Great tune. Another great 80s Whispers joint:
https://youtu.be/C6rKTKKFmBc
Never heard (of) The Whispers. Really good songs, gonna have to check out their discography.
I listen to Fleetwood Mac all the time. My favorite song of theirs is "As long as you follow".
^^That's my joint right there!
^ Spotted Hal at 1:07.

with that kind of voice I wish she'd scored more hits
this one sounds pretty 90s for an 80s (1988) song, actually
I was referring to her voice only. The whole track gave me a Culture Club kind of vibe, both in production and Boy George like voice. This is why I assumed it was sung by a man. Her voice on this track also sounds deeper than on 'You're so vain' for example.
As to the way Carly Simon looks : good looking. She's aged well over the years too.
Chic produced 'Why'? They did a lot of amazing stuff over the years. Nile Rodgers is super talented.
Ah I see. Yeah you can hear Chic in the chords but it has that pop reggae flavor too.
1989
^ Nice choice.

Was going to post 'World In My Eyes', I think it's their best song or one of, but I saw it was released in 1990.
1984
breakin 2 electric boogaloo, mark scott i dont wanna come down
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvDroJfXP_E
One of my favorite videos of all time because of the creativity.
A bunch of your videos are getting taken down. Or else it's because I'm behind a Cisco VPN right now.
I''m feelin the Thighs High track
I like the bass on The Style Council but can't get with the track as a whole.
1985
Huey Lewis & The News - The Power Of Love (Official Video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NMph943tsw
Huey Lewis actually has a very interesting life story if you ever take the time to learn about it. I think he's deaf now, which has to be horrible for a person who spent his career loving and making music.
1983 - A great year
The Fixx - Saved By Zero
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOiZP8FS5Ww
I love this song. Cool video too. I remixed it a few years ago.
That DesireLess Track is cool. Weird but genius.
This is a 1989 UK R&B/House Electronica cut I found crate diggin'. I got the 12" and the album on vinyl. I jam this all the time. Got in on a usb stick in the toyota 4runner right now.
The Chimes - Heaven

Incredible artist.

An obvious pick, but its still a banger.
Nice choices b-dolo
That Yes song has the synth player playing what looks like a Oberheim OB-X. Powerful synth. http://www.vintagesynth.com/oberheim/obx.php Trying to buy a vintage one today would probably cost you over $10,000.
Slave I had to double check but it barely makes it into the 80's.
Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World is more iconic and recognizable.
An 80's jam I have on vinyl.
Dan Hartman - I Can Dream About You 1984

1982 Luther Vandross - Never Too Much (Video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNj9bXKGOiI
Luther was a member of the group Change.
In 1980 the group came out with a song called Glow Of Love which I probably like even more than Never Too Much. But Never Too Much has a so 80's video and Luther started to pop off as a solo artist.
