R.i.p.
He is going to get sued into oblivion.
Sadly, this ranks right up there with the Pearl Jam concert at Roskilde festival (Denmark) in 2000, with 9 dead.
Roskilde and the storm during the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium in 2011 (five dead, many many wounded) have been the main festival traumas that most in Europe remember.
And The Eagles concert in 2015.
^^
"TMZ is also reporting that the deadly incident may have been caused by a deranged fan who was injecting concertgoers with some sort of drug, inducing widespread panic in the process.
Authorities are said to also be investigating the nature of the reported deaths, as at least one victim was said to have been foaming at the mouth prior to entering cardiac arrest."
I have no words.

Yep, fucked up shit confirmed.
I thought about going. I was thinking that I haven't really enjoyed TX recreationally since moving here. But then I thought 'it's going to be full of hypebeasts' and decided not to. Next thing you know this breaks out. There was a lot more to it, but the main issue was people crammed too close to each other and a lot of ppl couldn't breath. I'm willing to go out on a limb and say it was likely ppl that have had corona who didn't know their lung capacity was different but I could be wrong.
Anyways, yeah, thought about going, stopped cause of age and my not liking travis scott's music and fans
Good thing you weren't there.
sad shit
I hope this doesn't happen at the Sarah Mclachlan concert I've got tickets for.
Do US festivals use the safety precaution of compartimentalizing the audience? I mean when they're in big blocks (with special entrances and exits) so they can't do "death walls" (which I know Travis Scott sometimes ask for during crowd participation) and the forward surge is lessened too
It's common use here after some of the disasters mentioned earlier in the thread. It seems to work well
I’m so old and out of touch with music that I don’t know who Travis Scott is and it sounded like a white guys name to me.
He's catching a lot of shit for this. It's tough to know if he knew what was going on, there are vids that show both sides.
Logically if he knew he'd have stopped performing - too many endorsements and business deals at stake.
its the name popularity of it but the media's acting lke he's the event planner, security, and event coordinator. He's probably the least liable person in the organizing staff

LOL there's a wing of young black ppl that are trying to be contrary by mimic white 90s 'goths', but just the look none of the HARD BODY pretending to be suicidal and panic shitting of the older gods. So Dooch isn't wrong, but he's late. Also, Skampoe was referencing something much goofier than that.
ironically, Travis Scott is their leader

Same crowd, black ppl from the suburbs mimicking the deeply lame white stuff they grew up around and thinking it's their idea. Having goth phases 8 years after high school. Most of it being pushed by companies they're signed to, but they have IRL followers as well. One of the many gimmick stunts rappers do these days to make up for the fact that people don't listen to their music for more than 2 days. Integration was a mistake
Not saying that that kind of stuff never goes on with the elite, but I think its a comforting notion for a lot of us to think of rich people as crazy and into weird cults and rituals.
For the most part any mention of Satan and dark cults is horseshit. Marilyn Manson was once supposedly a satanist, now he's holding prayer circles with Kanye & Justin Bieber.

Its all just a way of getting free press.
A lot of the Satan stuff in new rap is 3 6 Mafia influence too, its not all from Goth rock.

This album was fire.
it would be cool if the US music industry returns to making music for money instead of just doing antics on the internet like praying with justin bieber because drake outsold you
Brotha lynch hung was pretty satanic. That season of tha siccness album was one of the best
glad i just got into him, good shit. didn't his partner literally rape his own kid or something?

He hasn't made an album in a while. Still doing features though. Suitably nasty verse on this track.
That might be my favorite album of all time. Probably the most underrated because of its content matter.

Loaded wasn’t a bad album either.
24 deep was a good song.
The intro off Nigga Deep with sicx is up there with the illmatic intro. N All Dat Shit.
I listen to that from time to time. It just pops in my head.
Sittin high up in the mountains eatin shnake meat, fried raccoon
One Mo pound was my favorite off Loaded
