Beneath the Surface was never reviewed by the Source. (The now defunct Rap Pages gave it an "A")
Uncontrolled Substance got 3.5 (It was actually reviewed the same issue as Golden Arms: Redemption).
I collected The Souce religiously up until early 2000.

They did eventually go back and gave Liquid Swords 5 mics, I had the issue and saw it for myself.

36 Chambers did indeed get 4.5 mics then was marked up in that issue to 5. Same for Cuban Linx & Liquid Swords went from 4 to 5.
