On the Wu-Tang Forever's second Disk Two- third track "impossible" the Rza starts the verse with something like:

The fusion of the five elements, to search for the higher intelligence, woman walking around selebent, living irrelevant, the most belovent king, communicating through your dreams, mental picture be painted, allah's heard and seen, everywhere,through out your surrounding atmosphere, trapo sphere thermo sphere, stratosphere can you imagine with one single idea everything appeared here, understanding makes my truth crystal clear............

I believe RZA is talking about some teachings from Islam, but when I heard this verse years later I immeditley realted it to my own culture.....

Anyone have any thought or comments on how they decipher this verse?

I read once that in the state of NY, identification cards (at least used to) list the race/ethnicity/whatever of the card holder. RZA, GZA and ODB apparently managed to convince someone at the department that issued these particular cards that they were not in fact black/negro/West Indian or whatever, and were instead native/Amerindian - although I don't remember which tribe they said they belonged to, I would recognise it if I heard it again.

I'm sure someone else here remembers the whole story and will provide a link for you.

So there you go - the Abbott is officially los indios, not los negros.

Oh and by the way, Lakota Warrior, as a Lakota, do those commercials for Lakota-brand glycogen, where the old guy is wearing a feather headdress, piss you off as much as they do my non-Lakota self?

Also that brand of Crazy Horse malt liquor pisses me off now, exspecially when I look back at myself as a teenager buying that shit and drinking it one time, just because It siad "Crazy Horse" and Lakota warrior on the bottle. I was a lost cause back then.

i'm pretty sure, it's one of those 9 songs they explain !

He's not only talking about teachings from Islam. RZA is a 5%er as is a lot of the Wu-Tang members. So the "fushion of the five elements" part comes from some of the Five Percent Nation teachings on the scientific side.

the fusion of the 5 elements isn't just from 5% teachings (if its from that at all)...if u ever study stuff about Tai Chi or Chi Kung, which Rza and them definitley do as mentioned in the book, they talk alot about the 5 elements and combining them and all shit like that...

Knowledge or the truth is universal. Trancends religions, races, and different creeds. That's why Killah Priest goes "for years religions did nothing but divide." But, the Truth is all things are connected or one.

Like according to the muslim religion it goes Allah is everything. Certain facts and things cannot be denied by all, beyond words, religions, etc. We all live on the same planet. It's all one in the end. The truth or God only manifests itself in different forms (such as nationalities, races, religions, variations, etc.). But the ultimate truth never changes. It's always man, woman, and child. We all live and die ,etc. In otherwords human beings.

I forgot to add the part about the chi kung and kung fu references too. There is a kung fu style known as the five elements. Thanks for that.

Um, Islam does not state that Allah manifests himself into any being. The Islamic belief is that Allah is one and the only one worthy of worship. If me or any other muslim were to worship any creation of Allah, then we would be committing blasphemy, which is one of the greatest sins against Allah.

the most benevolent king - One of Allah's other names is "the most gracious" which is the same.

communicating through your dreams, mental picture be painted - Dreams could be interpreted; they have meanngs.

allah's heard and seen - I take this to mean one could know allah by studying what allah created

The fusion of the 5 elements = it's a Taoist principle of martial arts, when you strive to bring together the 5 elements - Metal, water, wood, fire and earth. ( also refers to the book Fusion of the Five Elements by Mantak Chia ).

Benevolent king part is about when RZA wrote this rhyme he kept meeting people who said he would met them in their dreams, so he felt like the benevolent king.

5 elements is a martial arts concept which is based on alchemy, so alchemy is the subject.

yo... the exact same shit happens wiv me.... ma freind love g-unit, flo rida, t pain- so i gave him albums to listen too, people like a tribe called quest, tupac, biggie, wu tang, mf doom, cypress hill, nwa, public enemy - and he came back and said that the beat on 36 chambers were 'OK' ! - WTF!!!!

Then i made him listen to the impossible lyrics and he goes 'like galvatron.... not very scientific is it? ... the lyrics are alright' i wanted to beat him to death with my wu albums. I also looked through his ipod and he rated evry song on the 1st g-unit album 4 or 5 stars (mostly 5) and then rated ambitionz az a ridah only 3!

I think he's talking about salah(muslim prayer) because they pray 5 times a day
