Even though i don't think they were the greatest rappers ever, its the murders of Tupac and Biggie. They were the most popular in rap, but they were still quality rappers, so mainstream rap was good.
After them, hip hop started declining, southern rap started getting popular (No Limit bullshit), and basically it led to where we are today. Which is shit :thumbdwn:

The worst thing that happened to hip hop are these cats wit absolute no talent who can't rhyme for shit and get recruited by these corporations for their marketing schemes, and because of their apparent "look or appeal." Then they stick them wit the same repetitive beats from either Dre, Timberland, or Neptunes and now they are considered rap superstars. Its bad enough these corporations keep doing it, but whats worse are these ignorant blind losers that fall for it everytime and keep following the apparent "hype."
