Looks interesting
interesting man.
heard about this...
used to steal books at barnes and noble
hopefully i still got it! ;)
Interesting...
"tao and wu", the name soulds like a Chinese name!
so has anyone actually read this??
i just did but i was wondering what anyone thought of it
is it worth a purchase?
how in depth or insigtful is it?
lol i found it cheaper online. any method of purchase tho, i recommend regardless.
This isn't even in the same grade as TW-TManual.
Its more of the story of RZA as if that wasn't obvious but the title is still just as fitting.
the insight flows in and out when needed but the depth is a constant. he takes his days and notes them eloquently. i expected RZA to have a flow but this is told really well.
i hear this n that about this book around the boards but i haven't heard if anyone has sat down and read this.
If anyone looks at this like less of a book because it's from a rapper or it's a music-esqe book needs to wipe that from their mind.
While it is about WU the book itself is very self-improvmental.
i haven't ever completely agreed with the supreme mathematics (cause it seems like you just can't lose lol) i respect the insight. RZA is definitely a more intelligent being than i presumed.
You won't find EVER a book like this from 50, Em, Tupac, etc...
there isn't another hip-hop group or artist that can deliver this amount of wisdom.
KRS maybe. i've heard some of his interviews and he can really break shit down (burger king lol)
im still bummed at my 27 dollars spent as i've never spent that on a book ever (save a variant here or there) but i'm straight.
i can't say "i'd recommend this to every Wu fan" or whatever cause there is an underlining notion the Wu brings forth that some just don't catch but if you think the book sounds good or your intrigued at all i can say you won't be disappointed.

The first i never want anyone to forget:
When you enter the path of wisdom, of knowledge, of life- don't turn off that road.

Rza left me wanting more.
i been reading this the past few days.
got it on satruday.
might finish it today.
its dope and i recommed it.
i really want this book!
im finsishing it.. just started krs-one gospel of hip-hop and its heavy stuff.. the tao of wu was like a fresh breeze...
I enjoyed this book. When I read autobiographies and stuff like that (especially when it's related to music) I can finish a book in one sitting. That happened with this book and with Anthony Kiedis' from RHCP's Scar Tissue. Both good reads for those who haven't read them.
Mos def a good read, i had to beg my Auntie in the U.K to order it for me at a ridiculously high price, and i must say i haven't regretted at all.
Now what i need is the Manual
I just received the reprint. Looks pretty slick. It was cheap too.
I'll probably start reading tomorrow.
I borrowed the Tao of Wu from a library that I live nearby several months ago. It was really insightful. RZA is the man. :)
I got that book but first ive got to read Frogs into Princers by Richard Bandler and John Grinder recommended to me by Cozzie the Bulgarian Emperor
yo what is that book scar tissue about?
^ The Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
The story follows Kiedis from his birth in 1962 to the (then) present day of early 2004. It follows Kiedis into the depth of his experiences with drug addiction. The title name was taken from the single "Scar Tissue" released five years earlier on the Red Hot Chili Peppers album Californication.
Just really dope, crazy, interesting stories from his childhood, time with the band etc.
His dad was an actor and drug dealer in hollywood..the below video is a small taste of what the books about.
^thanks
i always loved their song scar tissue since the day i heard it and ive been getting into RHCP ever since i tripped shrooms to 'by the way' (one of my fav albums of all time) last year
ima have to check this out
.
.
Word, just ordered this book online can't wait for its arrival.
Got it shipped to the base, started reading it yesterday. Pretty good so far, same with the Wu-Tang Manual.
