Astral Projection: have you done it? what do you think about it?
i think AP is one of the most important keys to figuring out the actual nature of human existence. it goes a long way towards clarifying the point that we are composed of dual aspects; we are spiritual beings temporarily inhabiting a biological machine. the West has, with the polytheistic religion of science (it deifies the five senses by worshiping them), confined our understanding of life to the corporeal level, which is equivalent to taking a literal meaning from the most intricate metaphor. that's why there's so much built-in guilt and confusion in Western society, because if you only take into account the lower aspect of the self then life appears to be senseless torture. but AP debunks all the discontents of the Western world; we are not simply physical bodies. consciousness is variable; it is not dependent upon the physical medium for awareness. this has been proven numerous times and is irrefutable. i just got Robert Bruce's two excellent guidebooks on the subject, Astral Dynamics and A 90-Day Guide to Astral Projection after hearing a recording of him on Coast-to-Coast AM. he's a very experienced projector and has formulated a science as to how to achieve projection, and his theories on the many aspects of the astral experience are equally as valuable, as well. i've gotta be an astral traveler, the confinement of the soul to this physical world is too maddening at times ("i'm going CRAZY in this biological universe!")...who all in here has had astral experiences? i remember years ago back when i was posting here all the time there were several awesome threads about AP and lucid dreaming so i'm sure there are some experienced heads in here. what were those astral experiences like? did you have to conquer the astral noise before escaping your body?
