I think this might just be a rumour but I read something on Kotaku saying that Sonic Adventure, Jet Set Radio & Crazy Taxi will be coming out on XBLA

I was just playing Sega Smashpack and Namco Museum on my Dreamcast today; Sega really screwed up though; It cost them seventy million to make that game and I bet they probably did not even make a tenth of that back.

i remember we got one for $400 when it came out
plus the PS2 hurt the dreamcast cuz you couldn't watch dvds on the dreamcast
It was the first console with a built in modem though, you could buy a keyboard with it straight away.
Shenmue was really the killer dreamcast app, i cent believed they left it on such a cliffhanger, it's not fair.
Shenmue 2 came out on Xbox in like 2002
theres been talks of doing a 3rd one for years, just never came to fruition
The only chance of getting a Shenmue 3 is if the first two are released either on a disc or on PSN/XBLA and it gets an extremely good reception imo
in a nutshell. plus sega decided to release the sega saturn 6 months early to beat out sony and nintendo in the us. DUD..... and like 11th said the saturn was a bitch to program for other than capcom, no on but sega themselves knew how to program for it. not to mention the game gear, sega cd, sega 32x, sega cdx and the neptune which never officially dropped. fast foward to 1999- to this day i still think the dreamcast was a much better system than the ps2 but the ps2 had one thing going for it. it also played dvd's sega of america wanted to make a dvd ad on for the console but sega of japan did not see the reason and believed the games would sell the console. which at first, it did. 10/26/2000 the ps2 drops and absolutely rapes the dreamcast not because of the games cause other than madden and ssx...the rest sucked assbuckets. it was a cheap dvd player. sony sold 7 million consoles world wide in the first 9 months off the dvd player alone. add what 11th said and sega eventually said fuck it......though i have a feeling they will be back.....Quote:
