Cosign this^. Dre had some really great output with NWA and death row. After that, his creativity diminished over time. Muggs has been more consistent and released more unique material as of late.
They're both dope but Dr Dre is past his prime a bit by now.
Muggs is consistent with it.
Also Dre has become more of a 'get people together in a room and coach them' type of producer. Which could be a nice way of saying he's stealing ideas maybe. Then again he's got a signature sound.
Wouldn't it be cool if high profile producers flipped each other's beats and samples Audiobooth style? I'd like to see Dre doctor a Muggs beat and the other way round.
Muggs is dope, and really great in recent years.
I can't think of much that's better than Dre in his prime though. I think I'd rather have The Chronic or 2001 on a desert island than any Cypress Hill albums.
Btw Dr. Dre is supposedly dropping an album before the year ends, along with new LPs from Eminem & Kendrick.
Muggs
Dre in his prime days nahh. After yes I agree
If Eminem's next album is an OUATIS one off copy I'll take one for the team and take it with me to a desert island. You can safely send in the coroner a week later.
Would love to hear that new Dre album. I'll peep Kendrick's too. LOL I'm so out of touch, I had no idea any of these albums were forthcoming.
Does Muggs have anything cooking?
He dropped 4 collab albums this year, and one instrumental album.

Anything with Stove God Cooks this year>>
Muggs > Dre during any time period IMO
