If by classic you mean better then every other major label/mainstream album out these days then yes I guess you could dub it a classic. However by my standards its a 3.5/4.0 album. I liken it to the last two roots albums that came out. Good but not better then their old material. Dope album though, no complaints.
8/10 is fair, the production aint that hot, commons good, i woulda prefered him to get madlib to do a soul/jazz vibe
Word, Madlib would of been perfect.
Its really nice but only time can identify a classic. I love the production on this CD Kanye did his thing and Common was on point throughout. Its loveley to just kick back and smoke a joint to.
Yo I agree with you 100%Quote:

Be is fantastic. Have played it regularly since it came out and I'm not going tired of it, which is a trademark of classic albums. Though I don't want to make that decision yet...
its pretty good
I liked the album with gladiator on it better than this, no hate but I like battle rap rashid, over appeal to the masses become I'm around new beats common
It's a Classic by any standards...
It's great for the same reason the Score by the Fugees is great. It's so easy to listen too. Production is clean as shit. Every track has a memorable hook. It lacks something though... rawness. Like Water for Chocolate will always be my favorite album by Common because the minute that album starts until it ends is an experience. BE feels like a collection of hits.
Kanye did an awesome job directing this video
