Its more Hip Hop than anything else, theres a lot of subgenres in rap that are comparable in terms of having a different musical sound. What do you think Wu-Tang was in 1993? Embraced as real Hip Hop? Fuck no.

the simple answer is its a culture, a way of life . its more than music. in 93 wutang established the traditional elements of hiphop. dr dre had the west coast popping with snoop and death row. wu changed the polarity of the music at that time and gave new yourk its flag back. and they were embraced as hip hop at the time .Quote:
