lol everyone in Britain either pretty much hates the benny hill show or thinks of it as a guilty pleasure.

I think most people also think it only did well because of international audiences and if it was only shown in Britain it wouldn't have done well.

I think the final nail on the coffin was when ben Elton (wrote the young ones and blackadder) started dissing him.

its unfortunate though cuz in his early days benny hill was actually an innovative comedian who first made comedy shows specifically for TV whereas other comedians made stage shows which were filmed from the audience and put on TV.

but that benny hill show stuff is some of the biggest turd shit ive ever seen.

Benny Hill almost got me killed. As a kid I was asthmatic. I was watching the Benny Hill show on national TV (I must have been 7 or 8 at the time) and started laughing so hard I went into an asthmatic bout. I remember my mum running into the room. Since the asthma was bad back then they had to rush me to hospital. So thanks a bunch Benny.
