this kind of thing has been the bread and butter in some Sci Fi novels over the years
I also recently saw the Geostorm movie w/ Gerald Butler on this very topic on tv
movie was okay
on the article : the proposed scale of this is mind blowing and is therefore potentially very dangerous when things go awry
I guess cloud seeding has not turned up any major problems so at least that's a good thing

It looks as if China will be world leader in economy by 2028. Not surprising, the elite in U.S. have really taken control, it has been astonishing to see the fall of the U.S. in my lifetime, it has really accelerated in recent times.
The US and other countries help create this. So, if people want to get mad, they shouldn't. For decades, businesses set up shop in China due to cheap labor. "Made in China" on the back of most products. Perhaps businesses will pull out before China rules the world because this is something that cannot happen.Quote:

btw there are many many long standing (smaller scale) territorial conflicts, mostly over border regions, in Asia that don't seem to get resolved at all. I read in an depth article in the newspaper on this two months back or so, with a map that showed all the conflicts to boot. it was an eye opener. it was in Dutch so I can't link

The middle class in the country continues to diminish. The entire trickle down economy that was started with Reagan and continued by many of his predecessors has shown to be useless to the masses. The overall gap in wealth in the U.S. is mind boggling. The politicians and one percent have really sold everybody out to keep all the control and wealth to themselves. I live comfortably for now, but it is concerning to see where this country is headed potentially.
I remember hearing a comedian saying what does America even make anymore? Considering everything is outsourced like Ironman was saying. His reply was reality show judges, LOL.
