Great follow-up album to the classic debut, this one isn't quite as gritty and focues more on melodic backdrops but it's working just as well. Jeru still flexes his impressive wordplay while speaking on black activism, materialism and greedy bitches and snakes. lol at him dissing Puffy in like three places on this album which made Biggie throw some shots at him on "Kick in the Door".

I haven't heard this in a long time but i liked a few songs. My favorites are The Frustrated Nigga(this was also on Pump Ya Fist soundtrack for Panther movie), The Bullshit, One Day, Me Or The Papes, Ya Playin Yaself, Invasion(this was also on New Jersey Drive soundtrack volume 2). I don't think his first album is a classic like most of his fans say. It was good. Wrath Of The Math was his last good album. Divine Design album is decent. Still Risin album sucks and so does Heroz4Hire album. He should've never let DJ Premier stop doing his beats.
This dropped twenty five years ago today.
Mad jewels dropped on this like his first album.
