One of my all time fav hiphop tracks.
DAMN, i can't fucking believe this.. Prodigy had a huge influence on my life.. so sad. i'm at least a little bit glad i got to see Mobb Deep perform a couple of times just the last few years. damn, shaking my head in disbelief. Rest in power P!
"Through the years that pain became my friend, sedated with morphine
as a little kid I built a tolerance for drugs, addicted to the medicine
Now hospital emergency treat me like a fiend
I'd rather die sometime, I wish a nigga O.D.
Begging God for help, only to find that I'm all by my goddamn self
You can never feel my pain..."
what a legend, what a verse. i can't believe it...
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkk
thats sad man, one of my favs ever. unbelievable
Crazy shit. Rip
Being a 90s East Coast guy this one hits maybe the hardest. RIP
Fucked up that we have lost so many talented mcees at such a young age.
WTF! I'm honestly speechless. He was a legend in his own right as well as Mobb Deep.
RIP to Produgy.
This is fucked up
Rest In Power Prodigy
It seemed like he was always around in my life ever since I started listening to hiphop. I remember seeing Juvenile Hell sitting up on the shelf at the record store brand new
yeah feel the same
he put in so much work his whole career, ESPECIALLY recent years so this was totally unexpected. always looked healthy and in good spirits while promoting his book and whatnot
Happy to see him build a legacy that impacted so many people, including me. This really sucks but he's bowing out as one of the greatest lyricists of all time. RIP
:( he has so many of legendary verses from the 90s. always thought for a couple years there in the mid 90s he was near untouchable. his second verse on hell on earth front lines.....0_O. RIP.
Dunny was of small stature but his voice was an LT New York Giant! Headbanger was so grimy that it didn’t matter if every bar rhymed. On my top 5 of favorite emcees and Mobb Deep is on my top 3 of favorite rap groups.
He will no longer be tormented by that disease – little man’s can finally RIP. #StreetsRaisedMe #JuvenileHell #SurvivaloftheFittest #DrinkAwayThePain #TheRealest #Hoodlum #RealGangstaz #TheInfamous #AmerikazNightmare #TrifeLife #LiveFoul #OnTheRun #TemperaturesRising #HellOnEarth #NighttimeVultures #Allustrious #TheIllest #MurdaMuzik #DropAGemOnEm #PutEmInTheirPlace #GetDealtWith #ShookOnes #Bloodsport #AnimalInstinct #WhereYourHeartAt #WhatYaPoison #PaidInFull #Conquer #SpreadLove #PrayForMe #ImGoingOut #ManDown #CradletotheGrave #NothingLikeHome #PearlyGates #Angel #QuietStorm
Fuck. Sad shit.
I always said he was one of the greatest rappers of all time. Definitely one of my favorites and he was still doing cool shit. Truly a loss to Music.
Rip
Rip to the hip hop legend Prodigy, from when I first heard p on shook ones I new he would be winning, rip
Rest In Power, Prodigy. One of the greatest lyricists of all time.
Rip. :(
Such sad news, Hip Hop lost a legend. RIP P
...Professional professor at this rap science...
This is just plain wrong. Rest in peace, P.
crazy - sad to see legends dying so young.
"I Put My Lifetime In Between The Paper's Lines..."
R.I.P. Prodigy
He will be missed.
RIP LEGEND.
can't believe it
a lot of sources coming out are saying the Las Vegas heat had a lot to do with his death, I think it was over 110 degrees and P stated he wasn't feeling well during his show. The heat mixed with his existing condition anyway
still shocking to me today
been going through this at work today
one of the most consistent rappers ever, classics for days. Not many can top his body of work, if any
R.i.p.
Best write up I've read on Prodigy. http://www.thedailybeast.com/the-rea...ted-by-illness
