I have always wondered if this line by Killah Priest on Do The Damn Thing from the l.p. Black August was directed towards anybody in particular or if he was just maikng rhymes; I often associate it with the emcees that were most popular at the time Black August was released; Eminem, Nelly, Jay Z, Ja Rule and D.M.X.
i think it was general comment, to those 'fans' who like fake hiphop, as they love fake artists, the fakeness is what they'd be sub-consciously connected with..
hence the fake artist, would be a reflection of their own fake lives..
It could be that also; Killah Priest is known for hiding messages in his music.
