The only track I give a fuck about on this wackass album...
ya good shit
Dope.
damn, this is some good shit.
why the fuck didnt he lace us with more shit like this instead of the bullshit that makes up recovery.
^My thoughts exactly. This is bangin. As I've said before, if Recovery had more songs like this I'd be first in line to get it.
why is this a bonus track?!!?!?!?
the fuck!!?!?!?!?!
beat is typical just blaze... STADIUM drums.. signature all over this!!!!!!!!!
and EM fuckin bodied these niggas... char-broiled, and deep fried, i can imagine these niggas drowning in the booth... tryin to match that first verse!!!!!!!!!!!
hearing royce and em on the same track... sounds righteous!!!!!!!!
royce fuckin merked out...
"you can call me r.kelly now... youre in.... TROUBLE!!!!!!!!"
yes!!!!!!!!!!
em spitting with a lot of fire right now.. the same fire he thought would have expired at 30... em is comin to grips with reality now...
cuz age dont count in the booth, when your flow stay submerged in the fountain of youth - the GOD EMCEE...
vicious posse cut... this deserved a spot on the retail...
BAD MEETS EVIL ALBUM... ROYCE SOLO ALBUM... with em and dre overseeing everything... been waiting a decade plus for that!!!!!!!!!!!
obie trice... cheers... if em can give royce somethin similar... a 5 mic album is in waiting!!!!!!!!!!
Both bonus tracks are so fucking good. This is what Recovery needed to be all about.
Nicest posse cut I've heard in awhile, I think Em was the best, Crooked I second. Just Blaze definitely has a thing for using 70's rock bass guitar and organ sounds. I
I hope the exposure of this song puts things back into perspective for people who might of lost sight of skills in following today's mainstream cycle.
LOL at people saying Eminem "bodied this shit"...
IMO, he's the worst guy on this...
Still this track >>>>>> Anything I've heard on his past THREE albums...
SMH @ Interscope pulling this bullshit move again.
Dropping itunes bonus tracks that shit on the entirety of the album.
YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!
Good track. Definitely not one of the best on the album although like some peoples are saying.
Here We Go-Havoc
Ridaz-Dr. Dre
Session 1-Just Blaze
WHY DIDNT THESE 3 JUST HANDLE RECOVERY!? These are the best tracks from the album/studio sessions.
This is ill.
^ exactly, it's just straight fucking ridicolous how the 3 bonus track (which 2 didn't even make the actual CD/LP) were easily the best material on the entire album. smh. THESE 3 joints are exactly what hip-hop fans that likes Em truly wants from him, raw lyrics perfectly delivered over dope beats by hip-hop giants like Dre and Just Blaze. i bet the tracks The Alchemist cooked up for the LP ultimately was too hard for the label so they got rid of them in favor of some wack Boo-1da or whatever his name is beats.
i ain't gonna front tho, i was listening to "Recovery" again today and it got it's share of bangers. half the album is actually dope imo, 2 are aight and the rest is wack imo - i took out the 11 songs i feel are listenable and added these 2 leaked bonus songs and it makes for an actually pretty dope album. MC-wise it's a masterpiece, 5/5, beats are overall 3/5 or maybe even 3.5/5 and choruses 1/5.
I'm still not sure how Em "bodied" this one... everybody goes the fuck in, honestly. This is a hella dope track, as is Riderz.
Breakdown:
Em - He goes in, sounding a lot more comfortable on this beat than he does on the majority of the LP. It feels like good ol' Marshall here: we get a dated pop-culture reference (the R. Kelly line sticks out); intensity on the mic; and Em's sense of humor benefiting the track (rather than hindering songs, like it frequently has the last couple LP's). But this isn't him at his peak, really. There are some weak and/or forced lines in here, especially that "pulled over like a sweatshirt with a hood" one...makes me cringe every time. Still, there's some real dope parts of this verse, all in all an excellent opener.
Royce - It's dope to hear these two rhyming again. Royce's voice is perfect for this beat IMO. I think he undoubtedly comes doper than Slim, because almost every bar was quotable, either for humor or just being that nice. "My bitch know I'm perfectly fit for murder, cuz I murdered her." He sounds hungry as hell here, like he expects mainstream America to remember him from the Slim Shady LP and welcome him with open arms, making him and Slaughterhouse a viable commercial entity overnight. Not likely. But, if it were to happen, he lays down a verse that would do it.
Joell - The beginning's a bit weak, but after a couple of bars he's on fire. How is this verse not doper than Em's? "Millions of questions arose after they did an inspection/ What I exhibit seems to be non-contagious yet anybody can get it." Fire.
Crooked - Dude spazzes. Crooked I has a disturbing lack of versatility in his flow and delivery, but when the beat is suited for said flow-delivery, he sounds like a goddamn legend in the making. This is one of those occasions. Crazy verse, mad quotables, dope wordplay.
---
If any of these dudes "bodied" it, I'd say you'd have to say Royce or Crooked I committed the deed. And, honestly, Em probably came the weakest. I think everybody's saying he wrecked it because after 3 consecutive releases featuring Em sounding not like Em at all, just hearing him rhyme like the dude that some people put in the G.O.A.T. conversation.
That's my 2 cents.
