Let's get things going with some current reviews in this section...
Danger Doom to me is pretty fucking ill - the concept is sick, I'm loving the incorporation of the cartoons even though I'm not familiar with any of the shows. Doom has the most unique vocabulary of any emcee out there, period. His shit to me never gets old because you never know what the hell is going to come out his mouth next. He has a lot of fun with his verses and is one of the rare emcees who maintains a persona - to the point where I have no idea what he would be like if I met him and had a conversation with him.
Anyway, Doom comes correct on this album as usual and Danger Mouse's beats are ill - the ones on this album really pound... there aren't really any weak beats on here.
So as far as beats and lyrics, this is really solid. One detractor is the amount of skits present. Like I said I like the cartoon references and everything but at times it feels like it takes away from the album's continuity, especially if you're listening to the album a few times in succession.
I'll give this an 8. Peace.
