Tech Help: My laptop isn't connecting to my tv.

-I'm using an HDMI cable to connec the 2 devices.
-I've tried it on multiple telivions, it didn't work on either one.
-I've tried different laptops, it is working when I use my dad's laptop.
-When going to the device manager it doesn't acknowledge me connecting the laptop & tv.
-I use windowz 7.
-Both Laptops are from Asus

Update your videocard drivers

There is a problem with the driver for Standard VGA graphics Adapter. Reinstalling the driver might fix this problem.

PRESS AND HOLD THE " Fn " key followed by your CRT/LCD key. On a dell laptop it's F8 but on other laptops it might be different. Look at your keyboard, might look something like...
