    Default Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Mini Web Series

    This begins on Tuesday on Machinima.com, it's a 9 Episode web series based on the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short film released last year.

    The series will be written by Kevin Tancharoen and Spartacus: Blood and Sand writers Todd Helbing and Aaron Helbing, with Tancharoen directing. Michael Jai White and Jeri Ryan will reprise their roles as Jax and Sonya Blade, respectively.

    For those who didn't see it, it's based on this short film that was released in 2010...



    I didn't think the first clip was great but this could be ill if they keep that raw, gritty concept of the short film.

    I'm down with this. Personally I didn't like the concept of some of the characters, mainly Reptile and Baraka, but they way the first trailer was done, the way it was presented and written, was so good that there is no way Im ignoring this.

    Good. I need Sub-Zero in episode II. And any of yall wanna play me at 12am midnight next tuesday can sign up for ass whoopings..lol

As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles.     I enjoyed the 1st ep, it was annoyingly short though. Looks like they've shot it as a film and just cut it up into episodes.

    Will be interesting to see how the likes of Sub Zero and Raiden are portrayed, as the characters so far have been portrayed as more real world versions of the video game versions.

    second episode was pretty good. leaves a lot open for an even better 3rd, and hopefully they bring in the Mortal Kombat tourney soon

    They need to introduce more characters in Ep3, 1 & 2 just established the Police/Black Dragon/Kano Sonya Jax feud on it started which is good. We need some Kung Lao/Kang/Shang Tsung/Sub 0 now....

    There isn't going to be a tournament during this series, this is supposed to be an origins of sorts of some of the main characters leading up to the tournament.

    Liu Kang and Kung Lao won't be in this series.

    And what was up with the episode length of the 2nd ep? If you took the re-cap and end credits out it was like 6 minutes long!
