Default The 9 Generals used to be more socially conscious.

    For example ...

    and to an extent ...

now all these 40 yr olds rap about is selling crack/cocaine, fucking bitches, purchasing material goods, hurting people, smoking weed and old kung-fu flicks. they have more material now with all these bogus wars, the recession etc. but they keep making trap rap. their music used to be much more balanced and that's some of what it's missing these days.

    word

She talked, I listened, She listened I spoke
We walked arm-in-arm and split a Cherry Coke
Spit religion and politics, Sega and chess
Roots and culture, hip-hop, skunk and sess
She caught me sneakin' peeks at her breasts
    While frontin' name droppin' connects

iniquity did use the term balance, in case you have a hard time reading.
Comme les anges à l'œil fauve
    Je reviendrai dans ton alcôve
Et vers toi glisserai sans bruit
Comme les ombres de la nuit.

It was probly Rza's influence, he still stays fairly balanced in his lyrics tho the digi side is still most prevalent.

This is soooooooo true, funny you stated this.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

After the world didn't end in 2000 they had nothing to talk about anymore. Wu-Tang Forever is an Illuminati album. So what do you talk about after that plan fails? I guess fighting ninjas in the park, and dissing RZA?
