its too bad that rock is one of the only genre's i never really got into, many dope samples in there
no word yet, im halfway done with the second sample so ima have two tracks waiting for him for whenever he's ready lol
There are so many gems in psychedelic and progressive rock from the 60's and 70's. You shouldn't discard an entire genre like that. I do however ignore anything after the early 80's. For some reason I don't feel good about sampling stuff that came out when hip hop was already around.
Anyway, if Clymax isn't gonna do this, I'll would like to jump in then.
soul (many kinds, latin too), jazz, funk, movie scores...
i dont particularly go looking in any one genre. i just download/ buy heaps of anything thats old and listen to it really
ill have to start getting into some old rock/ psych rock - ive sampled it on my own accord before its just not something i usually leisurely listen to
if you wanna jump in i dont care...only been 24 hours since clymax posted tho id give him just a lil more time
Yeah, funk and soul are very obvious choices for digging and it's easier to find a dope loop in those genres. With progressive rock it's a lot harder to find something nice, but the chances that someone else has been there before are a lot smaller. Virgin loops are the best.
my apologies.. got mad busy! im diggin the samples and ready to flip, we can u use them both if its aight.. mine will be ready on wednesday.. Jasper, jump in the wagon if u wanna. we can make it a deathmatch!
