Verse one
It's hell or high water so take refuge to the havens
Family first those worldly materials aren't worth saving
when your dealing with rivers raging flooding the nation
this is "the order of evacuation"
verse one
see dead bodies floating rotting and decomposed
as well as babies that couldn't even walk on their toes
It's left a mark on my soul people getting feasted on by black-birds, and crows
I stroll through the wreckage and destruction i used to call home
My own rest in shambles as you can see mother nature is off her handle
Thousands of names of claimed and un-claimed dead on a memorial wall
families from all over the world see the chaos man-kind has caused
See man hasn't been kind to the earth which means destruction for us all
Lost a number of friends so there's no one to call
But distant relatives who have positive feedback to give
telling me to stay strong but they still have places to live
red cross workers, and developers building new cribs
but how come they saved the rich neighbors across the bridge?
But left us for dead with no warnings or alternatives
it's like who really gives a damn about ravaged land?
they can rebuild buildings but can't acknowlege the dead(damn)
V2
I can feel it coming in the air like Phil Collins
theyr'e giving us food, and water but i'm still starving
No apology from the government but FEMA gets pardoned
for robbing us of our aid money meant for victims with incureable symptons
every reporter wants to report but very few want to listen
surrounded by missionaries who's mission is to push religon
telling me i need to change how i'm living
they get cold shoulders from the elders sick, and feeble
it's evident the agenda is resident evils
seeing my people in the dirt for days like weasels
no water to bathe have we returned to the days of the slaves
out of work for months know and the unemployment check is short thanks to minimum wage
iv'e had to spend every single penny iv'e saved
that was for my kids college tuitons i guess no graduation days
