Daily Hip-Hop News:
Wu-Tang Latino's Los Yo Yais Rolls With Honda
Thursday - October 20, 2005 by Carl Chery
Los Yo Yais, the first act off Wu-Tang Latino, is scheduled to join forces with American Honda Motor for the video to their first single, "Mamita Ven."
According to reports, the video will be a mini-movie and will be filmed in New York City. Honda will serve as sponsor by featuring its all-new 2006 Honda Civic in the clip. The video will also feature Wu-Tang Latino president Ray Acosta, RZA and other Wu-Tang Clan members. The "Mamita Ven" video will be directed by Edwin Decena and produced by Pure Productions.
"I believe that Los Yo Yais are truly gifted artists with a flair of creating innovative music and commercially appealing lyrics," Decena said in a statement. "An attempted video adaptation of the song should be a healthy alternative to Reggaeton, while bringing Wu-Tang Latino to the forefront of the Reggaeton movement."
RZA announced the launch of Wu Tang Latino earlier this summer. He is also keeping busy working on Method Man's next solo album as well as the Wu Tang Revealed DVD.
Los Yo Yais' video shoot is scheduled for October 22nd in New York.
