I just got back from watching it and I have to say, as a long time fan of Marvel heroes this movie totally delivered. It was well written, well directed, well acted, very funny in places and was action packed.
Everyone got their moment in the sun and it was definitely not the Tony Stark show.
Even though there wasn't really a team leader, Captain America was the one that everyone turned to.
Hawkeye and Black Widow are all sorts of awesome in this movie and they get a lot of screen time, especially Black Widow.
Mark Ruffalo was a fantastic Bruce Banner and the Hulk fucking OWNED this flick.
The movie ran for around two hours but it was very well paced and every moment was used properly.
This was a complete success in my eyes, it ticked all the right boxes and hit every note I wanted it to. Marvel should be really proud to have pulled this off and against all odds. With such a large ensemble cast and within the two hour time frame this movie really shouldn't have worked, the movie was able to convey all the necessary character development without bogging it down. I suppose there were some minor nitpicks but that's really what they just were...minor.
This was The Avengers in full team mode, working together all the way

Movie is 2:27 long
Thor & Ironman fight for a bit eventually leading into a Triple Threat when Captain joins the mix later realizing they all have the same goal. Hulk doesnt really fight any of the Avengers. He chases Black Widow in a lower deck of Furys ship (seen in the previews) but Thor does his best to distract him from hurting anyone else.
Most of the movie is on Nick Furys ship
