columbia ruined this album by leaving off the best songs, i'll give it 8/10.
you could easily put together a comp of his early work that i'd give 10/10.

could you give me some names of songs I should check out ?

that weren't on this album ?

    thanks in advance...

this album is bangin'... 9/10, a few beats could have been better
Shaolin shadowboxin' and the wu-tang swordstyle...
If what you say is true...
The shaolin and the wu-tang could be dangerous!
En garde, I'll let you try my wu-tang style...

    -devil's son
-clinic (aka should've worn a rubber)
    -school days
-times is hard on the boulevard
    -how will i make it?

also, lord finesse - "yes you may remix" and "you know what i'm about (original version)" are big l classics. you can find those on finesse's newer version of the "crates to the files" compilation. the freestyle history comps are possibly big l at his best, you can hear much rawer versions of a bunch of the verses from the lifestyles album.

I probably have and just haven't realised, but yeah, never bought any of their albums.
Treach is the main guy in Naughty By Nature. If you wanna hear why I'd put him in my list then check out their first 2 albums, if you haven't already. K-Rino is an underground mc from the south. Not many people know of him.

But yeah, you're also missing out on a lot of great shit if you haven't checked out any De La Soul or Blackmoon.

Big L was one of the best rappers to touch the mic. It's a shame he never got a chance to shine. This is is first album, which didn't sell well and wasn't promoted heavily because of Big L's controversial single 'Devil's Son' which came out months before Lifestylez dropped. Big L was shot and killed only blocks from his harlem home. He was killed while in the middle of production of his second album, 'The Big Picture.' Many people forget that his second album was only half done when he was killed, his friends had to fill in the rest with old tapes he had etc. If you guys don't have these albums, then download them with the links below. Don't sleep on that archives shit either.
