^ what about "Organix"? that's the only album of theirs i never listened to.. i own all of their others on CD, definitely a discography worth spending money on. the booklets often have some cool/funny/weird info about the making of the tracks and such. ?uestlove likes to write alot too it seems.

r.i.p. Johan D, Kaddu, Ricke a.k.a. "Slick Rick" and the rest of the fallen soldiers - you'll never be forgotten!
I own all their albums on cd too apart from "Organix", which i am going to pick up on cd soon hopefully.
Undeniable classic though, just behind "Things Fall Apart" (which took me ages to get into but once i did...) as my favourite Roots album. Maybe just a little too long, but pretty much flawless apart from that.
this is my favourite Roots album, like most i havent heard Organix yet, still trying to find a copy.
this is probably the easiest Roots album for hip hop heads to enjoy on a regular basis imo, or How I Got Over. Illadeplh is just a classic 96 hip hop vibed album, where some Roots material tends to be more creative and experimental this is straight raw hip hop.
exactly, this is the album that first turned me on to the Roots and from here it was easy to adapt to their more experimental work. i love how each album has a life of it's own.
