this should be a depressing documentary because that's how I see Shyheim's life.
he got dumber as he got older. he was never more wise than when he was a kid and part of the Wu. when he hit puberty, he got dumb.
IF this comes out (and that's a big if) and it's done correctly it could be cool; Shyheim's one rapper who's life really was like a movie (young rapper, hangin' with Wu, beefin' with the bloods, dust addiction, bail hoppin', going up north etc. etc.) Shit could be entertaining.
and don't yall forget about shyheims new kids clothing line, so ur kids can grow up just like him
It's actually a documentary, but could be cool, guy's been thru a lot.

1) Thanks for posting. Please anyone that is interested input your email at the bottom of the website page to be kept in the loop.
2) It's not a big IF. This documentary will come out and it is being done correctly. It will be released next summer.
3) Yes. We do realize that Shyheim has a significantly smaller fan base now, compared to what he used to have. But this is part of the story. Shyheim has lived a crazy life- he's had ups and he's certainly had downs. I disagree with the comment that Shyheim has gotten dumber as he's gotten older. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Yes, he made mistakes. But when you're growing up as a rap superstar who came from some of the roughest projects in New York, with a father in the system, a mother on drugs, and people around you who are living the street life... where do you get your guidance from? Where are you getting career and life advice from? Certainly his managers weren't looking out for his best interest, their interest was the money they could make off of him. The absence of this guidance and many other factors played a role in what lead to Shyheim being incarcerated. This is a story of hard work, pain, hardship, suffering, determination, faith, perseverance, and redemption. Also, this film is not just a biography film covering Shyheim's career; there is much more to it. With appearances from Method Man (who tomorrow Shyheim is recording a track with), Redman, Big Daddy Kane, Kurtis Blow, and others we will be covering the rise and fall of hip-hop and taking a look at the music industry's exploitative ways. Shyheim has evolved as a person. He has many unreleased tracks that are innovative, different, and a return to that pure rugged hip-hop style he became famous for. In the film we will also be taking a look at the Stapleton and Staten Island community that Shyheim comes from- the hardships they face, the grossly inadequate government assistance (or even recognition) to the problems that exist there, and the true nature of the community (which is much more than just gang bangers and low lives). We will address the larger social, economic, and political structures that are in place that cause such despair and inequality. Now, you could also say that no one cares about this community. But in a country that prides itself on justice and equality for all... when that isn't actually available to all that is a huge injustice that deserves attention.
^Alright cool, good to know, was just sayin' it's been a bunch of times when rappers (Shyheim in this case) announced something (ie. Global Warming/The Bottom Chamber/Bottom of the 9th etc. etc.) and the shit ain't come out.
